Is it all right if my speakers are around 2m apart from each other according to the picture?

And my subwoofer placed on the bottom right.

Or shd i place my speakers closer and the sub in the middle?

Do help happy.gif

Oh ya where do i get the speaker wires? Currently not long enough need to get them.

You should place your sub on the floor. The speakers can be spaced as far apart as you want as long as you are within the golden triangle.

Wow. Gotta be extremely careful with the setup, if you drop the speaker I think you'd be extremely painful...

just went to heavyarm to test d1010-iv, i was wow at the sound quality that it can gives at that price.. then i switch to x3, DAMN... totally different level, the point that d1010-iv did not hit was hit by x3.. d1010-iv sound abit muffled, like sound not coming out fully by the singer/instrument, but x3 is so open and clear, separation is better.. summore the bass is tighter.. 2 words after hearing x3, KENA POISON... summore bro heavyarm calculate for me EzyPay.. more tempted.. but i need to think twice.. i really like the size, it is very portable for my situation now.. i can easily bring anywhere..

thanks bro heavyarm to provide the speaker and place to audit biggrin.gif

No need to elevate the X3. Just tilt it upwards biggrin.gif Play with the crossover settings if you want.

SOOON....VERY SOON you guys will be able to audition all the high end HiVi in a controlled environment! brows.gif

This is our dedicated showroom for HiVi. It's about 120 sqft (8.5 x 14), a small/medium sized listening area. It will take some time to tune up the room so please bear with us! Carpet in soon

Bro, not sure if the PM didn't send over to you  or you didn't read my PM. You said my RMA will be done and ship over back to me 2 weeks ago, and up until now still no update on it. I've only able to use the speaker for less than one week and it has been more than 2 months since I've sent over the speaker back to you for RMA.

I don't want to go on rage here. I think I am patient enough of a customer that only able to use the product for less than one week and unable to use it for more than 3 months now. Sent over a few PMs but never got replied.

Just want to know how is my speaker now... Thank you very much.

Thought someone was taking care of your case. We swapped the amp the same week we said we will be fixing it but we found out it was the transformer that died. We are moving and everything has been transferred to the new stockroom so we can only replace it once we settled. We will extend the warranty for the amount of time you did not have the speaker.

THis is my x3 placement.. i am seating at an upright position, maybe the speaker is only at my chest level, should i tilt it higher? i feel not enuf bass.. if i lean forward until the keyboard level, i can feel the bass.. and if i am behind the speaker.. i feel even more bass.. but i tweak the back to +4db edi.. volume is at half at speaker and laptop.. maybe my laptop sound very sux.. i plan to get a dac soon.. my t-muso dead.. ><[attachmentid=3405208]

Looks like the wall it like 6-8" away to your right. You are in a rather confined space. It's a position problem, you need more space for the speaker to breath. An yes possible you are too tall laugh.gif

Alright, thank you. Please update me again after you guys have done moving. I'm getting more and more impatient, because I only bought a new Rm40 headset just for replacement since I sold my previous headphone, the sound is just not very acceptable lol.

Terribly sorry about that, please bear with us a little bit longer. We are at the point where we MUST get everything done at the new place before we can do anything else. It's something that we must get done in order to move forward.

Do you think everything will be ready by mid may? smile.gif

For the Hivi section, it'd be READY for audition next week. Saturday Carpet comes in and we'd start setting things up. Some decoration panels and sound dampening materials will not be ready so there may be a lot of internal reflection. There's also a rack for smaller speakers like X3, M10, and etc that we haven't built biggrin.gif

The rear wall is fine. It is the spacing between the speakers and the right wall being too close.

Oh ok your table has a brown border. Thought that was the wall curving in. Move the speaker to a different location for comparison. Its small and light: D

isnt the sp2500 a sealed+ported sub hybrid? tongue.gif

"With the 4th Order design, Corsair makes some interesting tradeoffs to achieve better overall bass response.  The woofer is sealed, but not exposed to the outside.  Instead it fires into another chamber, which is then tuned and ported to the outside.  This has several advantages.  First of all is the tightness and response of the bass due to the sealed speaker unit.  The second is that the tuned port will only pass through the specific range of sound intended by the designers.  The third is that since the woofer is sealed, we do not experience the same type of “huffing” through the port.  The only real disadvantage here is the required use of more power to achieve adequate sonic pressure to get to the volume levels desired.  Hence the need for 120 watts of power to the sub."

Despite whatever the media claims, you can put the huge sub beside an M50W and after listening to both you will know what to bring home. laugh.gif

i tried to make it apart, around 0.85m as stated in the manual but i really still hear not much bass in front of me, but if i go into toilet, i hear more bass.. dunno why in front of speaker not enuf bass..

That is because further away, especially at the other end of a corner, there's a heck lot of bass reflection. People tend to put bass trap to kill the bass. If you ever stand at a corner listening to the X6, you'd be surprised by the bass it can dish out

You guys can come over to audition at any time. But bear in mind that there's still quite a lot of reflection in the room which makes bass rather boomy and mid range rather honky.

We'd be getting acoustic panels up next week or so. The section for smaller/entry level speakers need carpentry work and will take some time to be done.

Sealed sub or not, you still need to play with position due to reflection from within the room.

the best way to check ur phase is use test tone software, such as SinGen 1.2 (freeware)

start with 0 phase, low volume. set maximum hz crossover at sub, LF++ at speaker (in order to maximize the effect of overlap)
play a tone about 90-120hz which makes both speaker & sub exercise.
u listen closely to speaker, then switch 180 phase to check any cancelled out tone.

u can also check room mode reverb (usually 60-90hz) to reduce boom2 sound outside of room

in my opinion, sub (seal or port) should be located near 1 wall to get efficiency & great low frequency effects biggrin.gif
u dont have to turn volume up causing  it leaks outside room.
recommend 2 adjecent wall (like corner) for little sub below 8" only

some says down firing sub is easiest to get good sound whistling.gif hoping hivi can make 1
*
Downfiring subs have a tendency of lifting the sub when bass note hits unless it was built extremely heavy. Don't think HiVi has any intention of offering them.
