Wanna ask, there's heatsink in these high end speakers,
so will speakers be damaged by overheating?
What causes overheat?
Do these speakers last?

hi may i ask which dac is best to pair with m50w? budget not really high tho.

UD110, cheapest DAC you can find in town, perhaps the most value.

One review from china site, D1080-4 almost won all the test.

If your budget is not concern, just go for D1080-4.

But one thing is in china, both selling price almost the same, diff about RMB80, but for us, the diff is about RM200!!

Due to my tight budget, I got my self R1900Tiii. Plus, I just feel guilty spending over RM500 over desktop speaker. Sound very good from my UD100 but he bass still sound like box like, pok, pok sound. I hope will improve within times like my other speaker and headphone. Only if the price gap are not that huge, I will get my self D1080-iv.

so overall, how you rate 1900t3?

I am also looking for speaker to replace my RM26 logitech speaker...

at first, i am looking for

1. Edifier C3 (err... maybe that shop don't know how to 'set' the speaker... it's better than my Rm26 little bit.... )
2. Edifier E25 (sexy in red... but that time selling is RM699, and need order...)
3. Edifier S530D (my local store no selling, need order as well and exclude shipping yet....)
4. Edifier R2500/2700/2800 (tooooo big.... my darling wanna kill me already...btw...i got chance to test the R2700....SO disappointed... voice packed by plastic bag???)
5. Hivi 1010, 1080, M50W, MK2..... (almost paste order for M50W/1080-4,...but...say if lost or damage....no insure.... .. so if i really go for these guys... ask my friend bring back to me)
6. Thonet & Vander - Kugel .... also almost order already... (btw...my little angel ask me hold on.... )
7. ....finally right now look at Edifier R1280T, R1900T3.... (guilty + ... )

if R1900T3 really good enough...then just go for this guy...

adjust the distance between rear wall. maybe move further will reduce reverb /reflection

BTW, I don't think my post will ruin the business because this isn't a business thread. Unless I invade his sell thread and discourage people not to buy Swan, than I can be considered disturbing.

Get that D1080v if you afford. For a poor fag like me, I buy what I afford. Online review, forumer experience, sound like Swan better in everything mate.

Too bad the Dynaudio active studio monitors are not available locally otherwise that might suit you better.

But after searching, hmmm it seems to be quite reasonable, $500-699 price range /pcs for 5aMkiii
as compare to if Hivi x5/x6 where it is 5-6" sub cone which will cost 5k-6k also

I do know x6 when listen it is blast onto your face and it sound clean

dont know how dynadio perform?

I do hear ADAMS active speaker, which is not bad =)

speaker no need to turn 15 degree to face you, the sound will blast directly middle to you

ADAMs i saw it at KLAV show, but u can audit it at E1 shop, dont know whether he brought to Malaysia or not? he got audit unit at SG
