I think after this we should put a mod list on this LYN Preve forum.

Btw I love to be active here compare to fb and prevoc site because here is not private, everybody can participate so its a healthy discussion (but not basher though) but if you have a serious inquiry and problem let us discuss in our prevoc and fb
*
Agreed! thumbup.gif Especially the "healthy" part... every time got something to laugh at laugh.gif

To me, I prefer if we do this in the PREVOC.ORG forum... forum pretty slow now sad.gif At least there we won't need to jumble all discussions into 1 big thread. We can use LYN as a general "kedai kopi" thread, the forum for specific discussions.

I wish the forum moves a little faster though sad.gif

coming third time...i am going to tighten their backside.  brows.gif

Looks like both of us have the same issue bro. Lately, I had loud "TAK!" sound whenever I drive on uneven roads. Strangely, I don't here much of it now. The "gluk gluk" sound still there when car is loaded-lah.

How-ah bro? What do you think the problem is? I think it's something before the suspension (unsprung components) or close to the absorbers because the sounds follows the undulations on the road, not the car's movement...

Adeh... pening-lah sad.gif

The Cheras Desa Tun Razak SC Bro.

Issues are
- Braking at high speed giving helicopter noise
- C- Pillar (suspected) or is it suspension... giving noise while going on the bump / uneven surface (Ngek Ngek Sound)
- Engine Overcrank sound (Suspected OWV)
- Exhaust part rusting (Add anti rust to solve it)
- Requested for ECU remap IF POSSIBLE so that to solve the sluggish issue
- Driver Window Close has sound
*
Bro, I have this issue also. If they say "tighten under-carriage", they don't know what the issue is. They did it twice on my car & the problem is STILL there. Ask they to try something else & please share it with us if it works.

BTW, I'm looking for a car to use for about 5 days. I need to send my car in A.S.A.P to get the gearbox fixed sad.gif Proton iCare sounds more like "iDontCare" sad.gif They say it'll take another 2 or so months to get a relief car.

TOLONG! cry.gif

QUOTE(dares @ Oct 15 2012, 09:49 AM)
What happened to your gearbox?
*
I shared it across a few posts before, but here's the summarized version:
1) When car is idling, there's a very audible knocking sound ("Tak! Tak! Tak!") that follows the engine speed.
2) When you depress the clutch, the sound goes away.
3) According to Proton, there's a component inside the gearbox that needs to be changed. It's not the clutch bearing - I can hardly pronounce what it's called
4) Proton needs "between 3 - 7 days" to fix this issue
5) At the moment, I'm #15 in the relief car waiting list. Ballpark 2 months before getting car. But they said the same thing 1 month ago.

I can't get a spare car from anyone either sad.gif That's why I was wondering if there's anyone willing to borrow/rent a car to me. I promise to take EXCELLENT care of it smile.gif

P/S: I must be the only idiot in the world who would have taken a relief car Proton gave to a car wash. Cannot tahan - smelt like a cigarette factory sad.gif

tongue.gif

Edit: The part is called a concentric slave cylinder. Here's some info on it: Concentric Slave Cylinder

As good & sensible as that sounds, the answer is "Tak boleh" sad.gif Have to wait.
I asked what if my car breaks down? They said "...tak boleh buat ape2... kene tunggu kereta relief, dalam 2 bulan jugak". So until then? I walk to work? shocking.gif

Disappointing-lah!!! sad.gif Is there anyone I can talk to about this (other than the CustomerCare person assigned to my case)? unsure.gif

For service, the CoE in Senawang is quite systematic. Just make sure you follow up very frequently on any issues you might have. They "ular" with cases they are not sure of some time.
