10k not gonna have much material difference if you wait to buy a few cents lower, there is so much reit counters here.. you budget <1k per reit?

No need to bother waiting for RM 10-20 difference in dividend...not to mention all the brokerage you will incur.

Better you concentrate all 10k into 1 target REIT counter... rolleyes.gif

The 0.20 special dividend have 10% tax.. so your calculation must less 2 sen. Your profit will be 0.06 instead of 0.08. If you count this way & add in brokerage, stamp duty etc the ROI is slightly higher than FD rate + risk

Anyway the special dividend of 20 cents will be announced soon, after the AGM. The 1.90 capital repayment will be probably by end of 1 Q next year ~ 5-6 months.

The earlier holders prior to the proposal will benefit from it and also they will benefit since the price is just 1.85 then. nod.gif

Well that's what you think.. it could happen it could not happen it depends.

In the proposal the sum of 20 cents include FULL liquidation of current assets, cash in hand, debtors and also future payment of rental up to the completion of the proposal.

At first I am interested, but after further reading the proposals etc etc, now no longer interested unless there is a bigger selldown.

Psst. You also might want to look at Bernas currently selling at discount to the privatization offer. wink.gif
