It doesn't matter whether REIT up or down like hell elsewhere coz this is a slow & steady biz model. If this is not your cup of coffee, stay away.....

am i offend you? or you just hiding in the corner to worries?

REIT now in a global trend. if you already buy a ticket and global REIT can boost up, then we can take a sofa and watch it.

if global REIT went down, we have to gather more cash to buy ticket. or, cut lost.

the data i gave is from www.reit.com

it is a fact we have to face, unless u all only want to hear good news and ignore the risk.

i hope u all dont blindly dance on the highway. put your strategic ahead in order for you to play longer and safer

here you go

www.reit.com/DataAndResearch/IndexData/RealTimeIndexReturns.aspx

the data is live one, the upper portion will only move during us time.

and this one important also. REIT is link with bond yield. malaysia bond yield had went up to 4.1% before, thus reit giving 5% is in a risk.

if i tell you i know the trend, im lier. no body know the trend now, just us yr gut to decide.

really thanks for the bernanke, he created this opportunity as well as this mess.

from my point of view, 6% yield above is a safe site. with low rsi right now, it should a good entry with batches.

FD? everyone already know FD is a loser. the whole world understand the current game is loan as much as till the ceiling to invest. if the rate really want to go up, many borrower might not able to pay back. the market is too fragile, increase 50 base point can kill 20% investor. the market wont go hard landing one, it will go slowly, but my view it is not the right time to happen yet.

REIT had over adjusted, and market is over react (BNM chairman also said so lately)

just my 2 cent

looks like stabilizing...

if you need to rebalance a bit, may not be a bad thing too, imo.

else, can stay put.

the way i see it, mysians love nothing more than thronging shopping malls since we're not in love in exhibtion halls or safari parks and not allowed to love ballet or music halls... tongue.gif

even in a recession, i think the big malls will still do ok. i put my money still on igb, sunreit and pav. biggrin.gif

ya, still looking for opportunity to re-balance my profile. So far I'd reduce from 57% to 50% now, only sell if got profit. plan to cut down another 15% if possible. laugh.gif
actually, i didn't sell much. just because my latest buying were non-reit, so the weight falls. my cash holding falls to 23% now. nod.gif

do you know whether if the cash from privatisation / capital repayment is taxable / consider as income in our personal income tax?

RM1.90 is not taxable, RM0.20 will be subject to 10% withholding tax. No need to declare entire RM2.10 in your Tax Return
