Similar to trading in stocks, you will be required to have a Central Depository System (CDS) account and a trading account maintained with a broker. You may buy or sell ETFs through your broker, remisier or via online trading during trading hours.

where to open CDS account in Kuching Sarawak? any recommended broker? my place here don't have axis reit office branches, i actually want open cds with axis reit. sad.gif

I can intro you my friend Judy In Kuching. She works in Hong Leong and I just registered a HLebroking with CDS with Hong Leong.

The things attracted me is that the charges is RM8. If you don't trade/invest, you could enjoy 2.6% interest p.a

hi, Benedict newbie here and i got a few questions to seek for advice from sifu here. Currently interested in BSDREIT & STAREIT.

for example

ABC stock rm1.00 and i brought worth of RM10000

1year later, ABC stock apreciated to RM1.50.
i will receive 5% (RM500) dv.

what if i sell off my stock at RM1.50?
meaning my gross profit is 50% +5%(from Dv) = 55%?

1.81 -1.83 would be a good support/resistance for BSDREIT

I think u mean u buy at rm1 and it appreciated to rm1.50 with rm0.05 dividend throughout the year?
(Rm1.5+0.05-1)/rm1=55%
Is this really related to equities? Or u are asking for primary school math question?

i am sorry. as i stated i am Newbie in.Stock here.

what would my ROI after i sell off my stock at RM1.50 which i buy at RM1.00?

thank you

U buy RM 1.00 and sell at RM 1.50... Ur profit definitely is RM 0.50.. (exclude brokerage fees).
1-0.5 = 0.5.
Is this what u asking about?

user posted image

ROI = [(1.50 - 1.00) / 1.00] x 100
    = 0.50 x 100
    = 50%

no point study hard on TA for reits. It doesnt work well.
Just look at their volumn. Then you know what i mean.

I trust what my Technical Analysis shown to me, and i plan my risk appetite. just keep it simple

IMHO, besides Volume, we got to understand the sentiment of Bullish vs Bearish too.

forex can make you a millionaire overnight but reits only can help you fight inflation.

personally, I prefer to build my consistent & profitable income gradually than being millionaire overnight, that is not giving me steady result.

perhaps, but i just diversifying my investment portfolios because we can't always be millionaire over the night everyday.

Opportunity is not alway there... Diversify! cool2.gif
