No. Use the POP3 method where your gmail emails will be sync to your other emails.
This POP3 method is good for those who have multiple email.

Windows Phone will be able to support IMAP for Gmail.

Microsoft 'disappointed' by Google's Exchange ActiveSync decision, pledges support for IMAP

However Contacts/Calendar may not be synced because they're not under IMAP.

Microsoft should use an open protocol like CardDAV. Apple uses it on iPhone and it allows iOS users to sync with GMail Contacts/Email/Calendar.

So if we use IMAP to setup Gmail for our phone, will it be able to receives email directly from push? Or is it using still using specific sync interval to retrieve new mails?

I never used IMAP before but for POP3, you will receive the latest email like normal.
Lets say an email is sent to your gmail account, gmail will then forward that email to your outlook account in a second.
And yes you get push notification as well like normal.

I've been using this POP method for a long time since I have multiple emails.

My 920 auto reboot for the 4th time now without any reason. I wasn't using it at the time of reboot, cos when I tried to use it, i was at the password key-in stage. And I do see it auto reboot by itself twice.

Anybody can give me a reason why this happens?

thanks, got it uninstalled.

ive sent something from my old phone to lumia 920 using bluetooth, i cant seem to find where the file is on my phone.

tried connecting it to my desktop via usb but still couldnt find it.

edited,

oh yeah, how long does it take to charge your phone from from 5% to 100% remaining battery life ?

my phone can only last me about a day every single day, sometimes just half a day.

need to play around with the settings for more battery life.

important to note that they are not STOPPING EAS for existing free users, just not allowing anymore free new users past that date.

Please don't wait it drop to 5% before you start charging.... Your battery will die totally if it is totally discharge and won't able to recharge again...

I encounter this issue with my galaxy... when it drop to 2%, i still try to power on the phone a few times >>>> Battery gone, cannot recharge....

And Nokia did some precaution on it, if your phone battery drop below 15% (If not mistaken), you off the phone and charge it. Then you will realize that the phone won't auto turn on or you can't turn on the phone by yourself also until it reach 15%. This happened to both my 800 and 920

I normally charge it when it is around 20%... from 20% - 100% took around 2 hours 15min

try install Windows Phone App for PC. Use that app to access your phone. I think it should be able to see some files that are not appearing from the mass storage mode.

Charge through wall charger is faster....

2 hours is not long for smartphone

My
Lumia 800 (1350mAH) need 3 hours
Lumis 920 (2000mAH) need 2.15 hours

I found it weird why Lumis 920 charge faster (I using same charger) although it has bigger capacity

Great, my new Lumia 920 is now bricked, I can still hear messages coming in(tone). It happened when I was switching between Messages and Whatsapp. I collected the phone on the 3rd of Jan this year. Barely a week and it just happen! Now I'm trying methods on the web to see if I'm able to solve this or else I have to get a 1 on 1 replacement.
