I see no critical major difference using g note, s3 which is pentile vs HOX, SGS2. Tab 7.7. I am somemore short n long sighted in late fifties

Even if i dont trust my eyes, I dont think my 3 children eyes are poorer than mine. They are in the 20's and ALL of them even acknowledge to me their ipad 2, iphone 4s, HTC One X display quality do not differ much from the pentile display of the G Note UNLESS you really bother to really take a very close look. Only the colors shades of the ipad2 n HOX looks slight better. No one in his right mind will view stuff at microscopic level

I acknowledge it was a drawback, however it was not a total turn off (at least for me).

There are still a lot of other features that we can look on for 

The main reason i choosing GNote over any other phone because of its S-pen features. It is somthing interesting to play with. Without S-pen, GNote is just another S3 with bigger screen (as you said).

how power ur eye bro..haha..even i am just 20s also hardly to see the difference between pentile and rgb.unless u are trying to tell me that u are going to view ur phone inch away..some more note 2 is not pure pentile..

I've compared it with my previous s2, hox, 4s with nexus and s3..

You sir must stop obsessing comparing both pentile and non-pentile. I once was just like you, but when I bought Galaxy Note, then I just don't care about pentile or non-pentile. yes, indeed there ARE DIFFERENCES between both, I know the differences (been using galaxy s2 that has non-pentile screen and also lumia 900 that has non-pentile screen). But people don't care much BECAUSE it depends on personal preferences.

And about the processor, just get over with it. current processor Exynos 4 is already suffice(new gen is still welcome). What samsung need to do is improve in other area (design, ram, software optimization).

Watch all the videos and reviews of GNote 2 available now, all of them focusing on the S-pen function and features. No one give a damn bout the screen because its a minor.

Tat 1 would b S4 or SGN 3... lolx... 

Pentile matrix is RGBG...

The newer screen is not the usual Pentile. Then again it's not RGB.

samsung is saving it for galaxy s4
