The marketing team must be very bold or foolish. They really shld launch it before the most anticipated phone ever. October wld be a good choice.

QUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 5 2012, 08:30 AM) G Note buyers are in different category . G note does not compete with other smaller phones with size 4 inch n below nope. it's the same category of ppl that wants the latest and tech chasers.Main selling point of note is its bigger display n s pen functions. You don't need either one there are more other choices available - other androids, windows n iPhone Until HTC releases its upcoming 5 inch model there is no close competitor. The 5 inch dell streak compared with it is not even worth comparing and those who wanted a bigger screen and to a lesser extent, s-pen already had bought the note1. |

QUOTE(neo0915 @ Sep 5 2012, 04:28 PM) U wan ppl to show prove when they talk but u never show... average user doesn't give a rat's arse whether it is a phablet or a tabhone. it makes calls and therefore it is a smartphone, with a very abnormally big screen. It IS NOT the SAME category... Samsung Galaxy Note series is categorized as Phablet where S3 or other Galaxy S series is smart phone... Prove at 7", which is not pocketable easily, it becomes a tablet with calling feature. which i believe, is good of samsung to provide but ultimately not popular. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 7 2012, 08:02 AM) Put it this way, Ku Li is the alternative mouth piece on Androids. He will always post anything negative so that we users get to know the negative aspects. In a way is good too as it is not too good to be overwhelm by only the positives this is a very objective and mature view. Yes I agree at times he gets too personal over it adding salt to the wound He also present himself to be the know all guy n what he say seems to be the truth n wise. Well at times it gets to be irritating i take it as feedback. will try to tone down as not to be perceived as too personal. ppl, dun get me wrong. i like techie stuff. and i had bought galaxy s1/s2/s3, note and tab 7.7. so i do have much experience although sometimes i can get too emotional. but always remember, i mean well. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 7 2012, 08:50 AM) Well this is for those who are obsessed with display . Based on this report it would seems the Note 2 display is better than Note. Anyway if it is so, good. I am very happy with my current Note display and I'd still say it doesn't loses out much to the HOX, SGS2 and SGS3. I still maintain you'd need microscopic eyes to really view the differences though Ku Li did said I need my eyes check. So far of all the gadgets i have used , the worst is the Nexus 7 and its differences is obvious vs say the Tab 7.7 even though the ppl here claimed there is no significant difference, but clearly samsung knows that this is one of the things that need to be improved after s3. so it seems many ppl still cannot accept pentile matrix and the koreans had made it a point to improve it.http://www.androidauthority.com/samsung-ga...parison-112812/ anyway perhaps the s3 was a rushed product, so it still uses pentile matrix. this is a significant downgrade from galaxy s2 which uses pure RGB. no doubt i will not disagree to say that display of note2 may be better than note1 bcos...note1 is using pentile matrix. and 80 pixels lesser spread over the larger screen size is insignificant. nevertheless, in the era of ppi > 300, samsung could've given a higher resolution screen. maybe note4, maybe. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 9 2012, 12:41 AM) So how's that not related to this topic? Please enlighten me. Sooner or later, once the Note2 is out in the market, I'm sure forummers will be discussing about the plans and etc. This is specific official forum to discuss abt the device only!!!Even I'm the Staff for this section, I don't recall I impose any such rule for this section (not only in Android sub-forum). Plans, etc or quality of telcos are not related to device AND shld only be discussed in Kopitiam Or here http://forum.lowyat.net/NetworksandBroadband. Unless if u r talking abt telcos bundling with the device. That's why I've already told u that it's really a bad idea to open official thread when the phone is not even available. |

QUOTE(WTSNWTB @ Oct 2 2012, 01:29 PM) Lol, bro if paying premium for getting early might as well get from overseas rite ? I get from supplier n distributor and they never ask for the so called RM 100 or RM 200 extra. It's those resellers who charge above RRP. this world has become materialistic. just for the extra few weeks of 'exclusiveness', these ppl will pay many times over the standard retail price.Let me tell u a funny encounter when I went to one of those so called Samsung Centre with a friend who wanted to buy S3 namely at Setia Alam Mall. They dare to tell customers that no demo unit is available yet got unit for sale. Cannot open or see but can sell to you at RM 2399. The RRP release by Samsung is RM 2299. I even went online to digi, and show them RRP RM 2299 and they have the cheek to say if wan go digi buy lo. So in d end my friend went to digi and sign up a data plan and got the S3 for dirt cheap. I also got the note when I upgrade my normal postpaid plan to data plan and got the Note for dirt cheap as well. (Dirt cheap as in around half the price from RRP but must sign up plan) I believe it's "Kiasu" people who pay more than RRP to get the phone b4 launch or official date or even funnier after launch also pay extra RM 100 or RM 200 coz want it no matter what. that's how scalping and hoarding happens to drive up prices to insane levels. of course the money belongs to them and up to them to use it as long as not against the law. |
