i've experienced screen freeze and phone reboot many times. yesterday 3 times, day before that 2 times, day before that 3 times..

that happens whenever i multitask i.e. listening to songs while playing zookeeper battle (almost everytime!).. whenever a track ends and moving to the next track, while i'm in the middle of a battle, screen suddenly freezes for about 2-3 secs, and then powers off pixel-by-pixel (yes, literally. i can see the screen turned black from bottom to top, pixelated) very frustrating

however the battery level didn't significantly drop like what u guys said it would, only 1-2% dropped..

changing to stock theme & restart phone only fixes the sound bar bug temporarily, after few hours the bug came back

anyhow, i absolutely fucuking hate this bug. i can stand the sound bar bug, but can't tolerate this one


question: does this have anything to do with me flashing singtel fw before it was officially available at PCC??

i'm surprised nobody mentioned about phone restart bug on the site.. or maybe that bug affects malaysian users only

well this is getting interesting..

i didn't kena app force closed or camera app crashed or weird buzz sound during recording/playback..

but i did kena screen freezed and sudden restarts, and also sound bar bug (i changed back to stock theme, restarts and all but it kept appearing).. just this morning on my way to work, phone restarts 3 times in less than 30 minutes

i kept thinking that the walkman app is the main culprit since most of the restarts happened when i'm on my way to work/home, to which i always listening to music.. but today it proved my theory wrong. i was just scrolling thru whatsapp & insta & fb on the train aaaand poof! now i givap trying figure out this shiat

ok, i found someone saying something that caught my attention; apparently the guy said to improve camera quick launch speed u must add camera & album app into stamina mode white list.

i always keep my phone's stamina mode turned on with whatsapp email gmail included in the white list. so it got me thinking. prolly, maybe, just maybe it'll somehow solve my forever revolving phone restart problem.

so 2 days ago i added walkman app into the list, and it works like a charm well, the restarts still happened but significantly lesser (i suspect other app did that). what's important is it didn't restart whenever i listens to music anymore, not in these 2 days.

im gonna experiment this a little more, i'm thinking 2 options; option 1: add other apps that's functioning in sleep mode into stamina's white list; and option 2: turn off stamina mode for good.. and see how it goes.

@littlebeettle are u using stamina mode or not?

i did do pc companion repair, backed up my data (some of it lost), problems solved = 0

My case exactly.

although i must say that this fw really does improve battery life, despite failed to fix other bugs.. normally at noon just before lunch break battery level is at 35-40%, now it's around 50-60% range. and i pretty much have a routine phone/app usage daily (on weekdays), so yeah.. 'tis feels goooding

my phone rosak

earlier in the evening, i tried snap pictah of kl in haze and then press home button, put it in my pocket. less than 1 minute later i noticed the screen froze. so i wait till it auto restarts but it didn't. i took out the battery, wait 10 seconds (normal drill), turn it on, screen froze at lockscreen. completely froze and unresponsive.

i did the normal drill again, only this time i took out sim & sd. screen still freezes at lockscreen. i did the drill again and again and again until 5 to 6 times then i givap. my phone only works in safe mode.

so i went to directd and bought myself a z1c.

i bought it at directd, rm1599 black. veryy nicee, now i can play 1gb fps game in my phone without ever worrying about lagging and storage issue

i managed to get my V working again.. i tried to extract all the stored data, but to no avail. didn't hav any choice but to factory reset it. frust gila. oh well... finally i'm gonna be able to root n rape it to the core without remorse!

same case as mine. glad i wasn't the only 1 who got this issue

what i did was i reset it to factory setting using this method:
1st remove & reinsert batt. push power button & volume down to boot the phone in safe mode.
while in safe mode, note that the available apps in this mode are only stock apps.
open backup & restore app, back up all your ESSENTIAL data only (i recommend these apps only = contacts, calendars, messaging, bookmarks, notes, email, whatsapp). DONT back up game data, trust me i've tried to back up game data so many times but always failed to restore the phone properly.
create ur backup file in ur sd card.
also connect ur phone to pc, move all your media files (pictir,songs,documents) from phone storage to sd card/pc.
then go to settings > backup & reset > factory data reset (remember, there's no turning back from this, so make sure to double-triple check making sure all ur essential data won't be wiped out)
factory reset ur phone, tick erase internal storage
after reboot, restore ur data then all will be well again... hopefully

it worked for me but i didn't bother with it anymore coz i got a new phone lol

and yeah i also suspect downloadable custom theme has got something to do with this

yeah still got crash & home screen redraw here and there. but no restarts so far
