Hello, fellow forumers. A few questions I have on the Xperia V.

Since the Xperia V doesn't come w/ a built-in HDMI port, has anyone tried playing HD movies through a TV's USB port using the included USB data cable? I believe this's called an MHL connection? For TVs w/ only HDMI ports, are there USB-HDMI adapters for the Xperia V?

I know the screen's scratch resistant, but is it shatter resistant? Is it able to withstand drops from certain heights?

Where's the official Android OS update download link? I clicked the link on Sony M'sia's website & I got a "This page appears to be missing" msg.

Also, any recommendations for a protective case? No leather.

But Screen mirroring option is there in the phone right? Maybe have to go to SenQ to test with the TV there 

Yah just tried at sony center here...phail la...the part time sales guy dunno what im trying to do =.=.

Went over to Sen Q... tried with XZ...hijack one sales guy TV that was trying to explain to customer (explaining halfway suddenly request come out for miracast pairing)... LOL, in the end the customer was impressed and bought the phone + the TV lol

Hmmm since my TV is old...i need to get a separate miracast receiver device right? Thinking of netgear ptv but seems like hard to find here

What the heck, kid? Double standards. How come you can mention other models but when other people post, you said they've gone off-topic?! I've admitted my mistake (that V > ZR when it's SP > ZR > V), why don't you too?

Isn't this Xperia V thread. Shouldn't we be discussing the merits of this phone to you know, encourage people to buy this phone?

Of course V is not in the same league as the flagship Z1. We're comparing the mid-range.

SP: heavier, camera with less megapixels, larger screen hence lower PPI, not water and dust resistant. Slightly higher clocked CPU.
ZR : larger screen hence lower PPI.

SP beats ZR in about half of the tests. * Oops my bad, SP's processor is not the same as V's.  Because SP's dual core Krait is clocked higher at 1.6 GHz. Not because dual core Krait 1.5 GHz (V) > quad core Krait 1.5 GHz (ZR). ZR is the true successor to V.
