would like to ask you guys here if theres anything i need to watch out for in a 2nd handed LMSS - perhaps theres parts that LMSS are known to be problematic and stuff?

I don't have an LMST not sure what you mean my gear/screw but in older iswara, the gear and screw is together. Turn the screw (philips head, right?) and the gears turn as well...

i did change a new axle last year. To make it clear, it is not a recon one and it is not an original Proton also. i bought it from one of the workshop at pandan indah and it costs me rm580 + labour in Sept 2011.

haha. LMSS only has 1 version which is the manual version unless the gearbox has been changed to auto. Besides, i believe the FC for a 1.3 auto iswara will be  moneyflies.gif

U can advise her to get used to manual and then she is able to drive any cars dy.  smile.gif
*
yaya..i also believe FC for a 1.3 auto iswara will be cost high hmm.gif

hmm no idea.

for modern cars all you need to do is to check the ecu/logs etc. older cars, really need a skilled mechanic (assuming with specific tools) to check
*
yea..older car really need a skilled mechanic nod.gif nod.gif

check your spark plugs/plug cable/battery/starter

all these components may not function at their best when either the engine bay's too hot/worn out/expired (eg: spark plugs or battery)/corrosion (eg: plug cables), which could lead to cranking problems you mentioned.
*
yes..check the spark plugs,plug cable,battery and starter thumbup.gif

Hi All Sifus,

Quick question;
Is it possible to install Airbags

Or

ABS

on my Proton Saga? 1991yr

P.S. - Does anyone know where i can get nice new comfortable seats? I think my car seats are already 22years old.
*
It will cost few thousands to install.. It is not worth to modify the Airbag or ABS inside the Saga.. smile.gif
