Better tell us what kind of playstyle you want so people can give better suggestion. I tried mesmer recently up to lvl 20. Seems fine to me. My main is a necro so not that much difference.

what i means is this job was nerf, and is it still worth to play?

i dunno but nowadays i play spvp daily using mesmer only.

in spvp or wvw o? 1vs1 situation or group fights? those conditions killing u ah?

err.. how about some condition removing skill ?

Unker, you play mesmer haa nowadays... i also play mesmer when i go WvW.... loving that glamour confusion build... syok seeing ping kalers popping up out of zergs after i cast feedback or null field..... lol

ah in that case you'll just have to get out of those pink domes..those areas are confusion stacking.. get out of it and then remove condition....

when i fight confusion build mesmer, i just keep on attacking and healing. to me it is almost like getting normal attacks cuz the dmg from confusion is not usually high compare to bleed and burn. maybe because i'm a tough build so i can survive longer until the confusion runs out.

Your toon level 80 already? Usually there's always a playstyle that fits your taste for a profession.
Try watching the vids by MrPrometheus in the stickied thread of the mesmes subforum in the official forum.
That vids focus on teaching the basics of each traits, utilities and also weapons usage.

If your toon already lvl 80 you can always gets green items from tp to test the build that you like. I suggest green items because its cheap, than work your way up for the exotics later on.

I'm at lv31 right now. I just want an easy & functional way to leveling mesmer, I dont have the luxury to test with a variety of builds yet. I can do it after reach lv80 anyway, yeah?

to test a build you can go to the heart of the mist, pvp arena and test your build at the npc there....

im looking for a decent tpvp mesmer build that can maintain cap on pts, preferably able to 1v1 and maintain pressure, any suggestions?

in pvp i use condi PU mesmer build 0/20/30/0/20

weapon: staff , scepter/pistol

PU requires us to maximize the stealth duration right? wouldnt that makes us unable to maintain a pressure on a cap pt?

i stealth only when necessary, when health is low etc. 1v1 usually due to very high condi (from phantasmal duelist bleeding, staff skills etc) , enemy will run away from the mesmer.

problem only occur when fighting turret engi....
