I don't know Kent Woo. But the 1 did my hole was Kenji's friend Ah Wai ex-YauYip sifu. Ah Wai will arrange bit by bit of what he do along pulling wire, tapping wire, and explain how to avoid kacau warranty. He hide my wires pretty well, things are tied up good. Result is pretty impressive, those wiring was hide exactly like factory. Price is EXTREMELY reasonable in my opinion(despite without bulk)

Bulk may be arranged. Pls also consult kenjilew to check for best price for the benefit of all.

my gf just got her saga flx 1.6 se
this is her 1st car..

the sale agent only pump 2 "bar" of petrol for her...may i know how long it can last?? 50km??

and she dun know what petrol is best for her new car

she ask me and i know nothing about car

please advice
*
because don't know the 2nd bar how far up it goes, so my rough estimation for the 1 bar before blink is 50km above 75km below. Tell her by 1 bar should go fill up liao. Make this a habit to preserve some fuel so it will not draw residue from the bottom of the tank.

what type of petrol should she use??
any different??
or just use 95 will do?
shell, pretonas, bhp
*
There is minor difference in each petrol. There is no right or wrong in using which petrol. You just drive normally and test it out with full tank on each of those petrol, find 1 that you think that suit you most then you stick to it.

For my car and my preference:
1) ESSO/Mobil/Petron: Smile point bagus. RM1=1point. Reward is 100's base exchange with RM1. So its virtually 1% rebate (1.5x points in PETRON!!!!)
2) Caltex: It suit my driving
3) Petronas: Slightly feel the car is weaker
4) BHP and others, can hear engine pinging sound if take a 3rd gear pull from 2krpm to 7krpm.

FC wise, for me they all more or less the same. I drive according to vacuum gauge, so wouldn't make much difference on FC.

QUOTE(nickzkuso @ Aug 28 2012, 10:00 PM)
YAB.. According to you, if we turn the steering too harsh until maximum got the "tok" sounds.. The steering rack might pecah..
What if we pusing it slowly til maximum, will it got possibility to pecah oso a? Feel very scary after know that the steering rack will pecah if turn til tok @@
*
As long as "TOK" sound, it MAY harm. I taught my wifey to adjust her steering action by leaving some space to avoid fully turned the steering wheel. If you go start your car now, try to make a full turn, it should cover the 1 3/4 round. So, instead of fully use the 1 3/4 round of steering action, why not adjust your parking angle to 1 1/2 round turn? By regular practice, next time regardless of what car you drive, rest assured you'll only do 1 1/2 round steering turn.

Hi Bro...
Dun need 2worry like dat la....
Juz drive normally (and with luv 4yr Gaga)...and yr Gaga shld not let yu down...
Any car, if handled roughly w/o luving care, will give probs 2its uncaring owner wan!
Believe me!  icon_rolleyes.gif
*
Kinda disagree.

If you already know the potential threat because of the over steering action that causes the hydraulic power steering arm fully extended, which post risk of early wear off shafts and or oil seal rupture hmm.gif

Will you still try your luck in keep on repeating the same cause of action(which I call it mistake)?
Will you say - "Oh! I just turn slowly to the max - then TOK! Like this should not have a problem rite?"

Let's change the scenario a little bit:
Lately some GaGa outing went to Ipoh, Lahat tin mine kuari area for fishing. All those smartass already parked their beloved GaGa by the edge of kuari. We all know kuari sand is unstable, all those GaGa kena landslide, all sunk into the 3000meter kuari pool. Such incident causes so much pain for so many GaGa owner, only to find out this is not the 1st time happen as previously some other GaGa member already accidently sunk their GaGa in.

Now, you've been warned, tin mine kuari area is very unstable, particularly the edge. Will you say no problem, I will still park there, I drive slowly to the edge, I think the sand should stay and my car will still be safe.

Enough grand father story. Sorry if it offended you, but I certainly hope to preserve our steering rack. I hope we all do.

If you remember, few months ago we went to TEOH BROTHERS TOYO TIRE, your set of rim is there also. I was going to become your twin brother last time before I decided with my current spork rim. Your rim 7J is wider spec geh. You can use up to 205tyre also no problem geh. Ours 6.5J can use up to 195 geh jek if I'm not mistaken.

only to saga is the problem or to all car??
normally if drive saga, it can turn a lot, seldom turn till kok, but persona can turn less, so high number of times will kok.
*
Not very often I heard this problem(there are, but not as often) on other models. The older model gaga iswaga, you everyday turn until tok also can, kok also can, it just wouldn't break it(other than modified version, even modified version also seldom KO). Our family old AE82, Takumi wanabe modified powah steering leak fluid after 10 years. Since its minor, we put those power steering sealant, surprisingly it stopped the leak for another 2 years, until we sold the car. However, for a GaGa, I've already seen several cases infront of my eyes shakehead.gif so damn new the car(4 years is new to me). Further than that, Marhaihai's car changed 2 sets, only managed to rectify the problem on the 3rd set! moneyflies.gif moneyflies.gif moneyflies.gif

Regarding turning radius, please refer below

QUOTE(s@ni @ Aug 29 2012, 07:25 AM)
My gen2 i always turn until "tok kok" sad.gif
Gen2 turning radius is big sad.gif
*
溅兔/Persoga turning radius same(if not, almost same). Turning radius & steering full action is different thing. Most car developer will have a standard practice of 1 3/4 full steering turn setup. I'm not sure about the reliability of Persoga/溅兔 power steering, but you wouldn't want to find out also.

QUOTE(dares @ Aug 29 2012, 07:26 AM)
Same theory applies to all cars I suppose.

Not only that, you should also avoid steering while the car is completely stationary, as it places more strain on the tires and the steering parts. You should let the car creep slowly while you steer. If you've driven a non power steering car you will know why rclxub.gif
*
stationary turning harm a little bit of the tyre only smile.gif

thanks again..

btw, for new car under 1000km..
can i go more than 80km/h?
the sale agent said she need to go slow...
after 100km only can speed up to 100km/h
izzit??
*
Break in doesn't mean drive like a snail. Just drive like casual weekend driver. Don't purposely slam on the pedal. You can still do 120kmh, what matter is it take how long to reach 120 from 0.

Old skol logic is, when engine newly fitted, there's micron difference on each cylinder that cramp up with piston ring. In order to fit in piston, the ring will have to be compressed, after fit in it will expand and hold on the engine block with minimal tolerance. Every combustion cycle, these piston rings will grind through the block inner bore(when piston going up & down). Your dad will ask you to drive 80 bcoz he think you drive too fast. This is a good chance to scare you and put a speed limit on your head. Your SA ask you to drive 80, so you won't complain drink fuel like water! New car so tight, sure will gazzle more fuel geh. If sumore drive like a muoron, sure can go 30cent/km.

Therefore, pushing too much on a newly assembled engine can greatly increased wear & tear. Break in period is a grind in process. Drive below 80 meaning you're shaping your engine to drive below 80 in future! When you shape your engine, you shape it into what you want it to be. Like when you crafting a wooden goose, you don't use a saw to craft although its fast(slam on full throttle to get to 120kmh), instead you'll be using a crafting tool to slowly grind the edge to achieve smooth and curvy surface(gradually increase speed to 120kmh instead).

Hope this explain well.

I'm currently running a small test regarding different brand of petrol. For your information, most EFi engines fitted with ping sensor, which means whenever petrol is easy ignite, ECU will retard ignition timing to prevent pinging/knocking (self ignite air fuel mixture). I guess carburetor will be more suitable, therefore I will be using my Iswaga to record my petrol consumption of different brand of petrol.

I'm a regular ESSO user, bcoz ESSO & BHP stations located right outside my area. I will be reporting back for each different kind of petrol and feedback.

I just had my tank refilled yesterday. Calculation for previous tank of ESSO RON95 as below:

Total trip: 578.1km
Fill up: 41.05litre
Km/l = 14.08
Litre/100km = 7.1

I have filled up with BHP with INFINITI95 petrol until it spill out. Will report back on next tank hopefully to give you guys a brief comparison. After that will be Caltex, Petronas, Shell.

went to serdang this morning to get the FS and some other stuff from my saga... david... regarding insurance claim, i can only claim back all original parts even my absorber(GAB adjustable) to original ones and my sport rims also ? btw i think tmr i can make it...
*
Yes, only restore back to its original state. However, original sport rim is RM1600. So 1 unit should be RM400!!!!!!! Tibai that price can buy 1 full set of 2ndhen sport rim liao. Pls go negotiate with workshop whether can take cash go buy rim or not. For absorber, all you can do is down grade the other non-rosak side back to stock.

You shouldn't have send it back to Plotong. Outside workshop easier to work things out. Original Plotong abs outside only 130, but if you claim its already marked up to 500. That price you can get HLSHA liao. You try to negotiatie with them la. Try to beg them lar, see whether they can allow you to take cash.
