QUOTE(dares @ Aug 27 2012, 02:52 AM) Yea, I also remember you bought it to enjoy the induction sound. No word about performance from you also, I gather there is no gain on that aspect Induction sound is this 1, the little stainless steel thing at the back ![]() Drop in because wanna go low profile, no need to make heat shield also. Performance wise, hardly noticeable if we talking about the midrange gain |

QUOTE(dares @ Aug 27 2012, 09:27 AM) Speaking of noise, is the drop in noisy? Bcoz that is 4G18p, the filter inheritted from you sounded exactly the same loudness in my 4G13p as well. The 1 use for 4G92 also same, veli loud.Last time I used one for my Waja, it was quite loud when revved above 2-3k RPM. For S4PE, tried uncle Choi open pod APEXi, no sound. Marhaihai's rumah atap insuflex open pod, no sound. V12k's rumah atap insuflex open pod, can't hear shyet due to ekzos too loud, kenjilew's ViGA 3.5cylinder HKS open pod, no sound. Me, both KNN or SIMOTA, can't hear anything also If interested, arrange time let you try KNN drop in go for few round 1st before purchase lor. IINM, KNN RM250, SIMOTA RM130. You see how lar, or you richfag enuf just go buy and try lar. |

QUOTE(r3apers @ Aug 27 2012, 10:14 AM) for my auto, if full throttle will hear the sucking sound. if normal driving, hardly notice. still in progress for my open pod... might change back to ori soon and check my FC got difference or not... Just the initial part nia. Full throttle, then hear "tsuck" then no more. But for 4G series Mitsi engine will continue roaring geh FC for open pot? For AT cars only! Figured this when we play a prank with my magician's apprentice. We wanted to make him cry for help, but shortly after he left workshop, he uturn back and ask us how come the car so powderful, whether we plonked a turbo in his engine bay |

QUOTE(r3apers @ Aug 27 2012, 10:57 AM) thts why i intend to put back ori while i had the time... vacuum wise with open pod still ok... only juz tapping a bit deeper will be 0 liao...haha... so wana check it out ori how's it does... if still the same my footwork really need to readjust again... btw with open pod and vaccum now i mileage is better, but need to try back oir maybe can get even better? Last time during my test drive with your bling bling FL @ sri petaling ady open pod? Or stended? I do experience over throttled most of the time. If that time ady open pod, that explained everything. By right, with stock intake filter box goes easy on vacuum bcoz the box got enough room to buffer clean air. On the other hand, the PCV valve(rocker cover breather) supposedly furnish some air back to the intake. Now without it could be another reason of hai FC.btw will try tht as well.. Regardless of all that, your recent FC reading had greatly improved. I must said those are very impressive results from your previous experience |

QUOTE(tctham @ Aug 27 2012, 03:02 PM) Btw, I am driving a saga blm ('09).. that have no abs, ebd, or whatsoever.. if want to add those now, susah? or most workshop also can help to add? Mine 2010 also kosong spek. Things you can do after market:1) Oversize cross drilled slotted disc with caliper extender to improve front brake force. If magician specialize in brake, tune loose the rear brake little bit. Get a set of better grip tyre, as good as ABS. Practice multi tapping braking technique. Estimated damage RM500. Cheap & cheerful, sumore disc brake big like a fry pan looks damn saxy! ABS conversion RM4000 onwards. Involved master brake cylinder/distrbutor/brake sensors. Prune to fail and may become imbalance/unstable. No workshop dare to guarantee your safety. 2) Budget allowed? Go for EXOGA brakes full set. But need to chage rim+tyres at the same time! You sendiri adjust damage! Suggested by EA. 3) Airbags... Buy a pillow. Pasang later only god knows whether it work properly. If it don't work, you waste money! If too efficient, went over speed bump also deploy, no accident also cause accident! So, u think masak masak lar. |

QUOTE(tctham @ Aug 27 2012, 04:27 PM) This is good reply.. I can slowly brain it.. if i want to do #2, then i might as well skip #1 and finish #2 first right? or the sequence doesn't matter? Coolkwc gotta point there. If you want EBD lar, ABS lar, airbag lar, somany things can cost you more than 10k in total. Its better to sell off your car, top up 10k to get FLX SE if you die die also wanna have a GaGa with all that feature. So airbags and abs/ebd is "possible" at the driver's risk le right? What is exoga brakes? macam cannot find any info on it. My suggestion is bearly sufficient for a hardcore modder. Let me remphasize my point again. brake upgrades other than ABS 1) Brake disc upgrade allow your brakepad friction area bigger, faster ventilation. Budget around RM500 dependig on disc grade+labor different 2) Assume you have more budget, mod to use Plotong mia MPV Exoga brake. But the hub is 5 holes, need to upgrade rim+tyre as well. So it will cost a bomb! 3) Cheapest way to upgrade brake force. Ask magician to set loose rear drumbrake a little bit, so your front disc brake work harder. Let's not forget engine + gearbox infront, so front part definitely need more brake force. Normally adjust drumbrake FOC. If necessarily, open the hub brake, take out the drum brake shoes and slot lines so your rear brakes will work exactly like multiple cylinder brakes!I used to do this a lot. Downside is, brakepad very fast wear off. Normally within 1 year all brakes need to change pad ady. [Color=blue]So, my suggestion is #3. If got extra fund, go for #1. If so damn rich, go for #2 then.[Color] air bag 1) Buy a pillow, stick it on your steering wheel 2) Don't change to after market steering. Many times during accident those "so called" racing steering wheel material too cheap, broke off and penetrate victim's chest that kills. 3) Don't change to after market bumper. Be it FRP/PU or fibre. Afaik there is very little(or none) of these pretty bumper came with impact rebounce/crumple point. [Color=blue] do all this 3 if safety is priority. Adding airbag need to flash/change ECU. Safety belt anti lock feature also needed. With a modded airbag is much dangerous than without 1[color] Finally, Z1 is right. Safety is about your subconcious, your spirit, your morale. If you think you're too fast, just slow down. Have enough sleep and drive sensually. When people wanna bang you, what skill also no use. If its an emergency, you just brake, if tayar locked, just release and press few more times. If its an accident, turn off ignition, take the key out and stay away from the car. Hook a fire extinguisher in car, when needeed you have it. Rather than spend all those hard earn cash for those luxury that we missed. To quote our senior member who crashed into a tree but survived, "drive so fast for what?". |

QUOTE(V12Kompressor @ Aug 28 2012, 12:21 AM) as for the topic on saga oversteer, understeer, sotongsteer, crabsteer, etc... The other day when I went upgrade taxi spec inspect tayar, found my rear tyre wear faster than front for me, I prefer to keep the tyre with the best grip at the rear of the car. So when I buy 2 new donuts in the future, the two rear ones will be swapped to the front and the newer ones at the back. This post has been edited by davidke20: Aug 28 2012, 01:38 AM |
