Not much info. Mostly talk about things that CAN NOT BE CHANGE. Like constant oil leak lar, weak head gasket lar, always melt ignition coil lar, power steering alwasy bocor lar, and the worst is ALL AMT tak boley pakei doh.gif

will CVT share same fate as AMT?
*
Not at all.

CheeVuiTee - is already age old super technology, known with efficiency and easy maintenance. Even you wan overhaul a CVT, there is only 3 part involved INSIDE the tranny. 2 roller and 1 belt.

AMT - Plotong said, they don't know how to fix it. Plotong SC also fedup, in the end stop production. Therefore, Gabby known as another big fail of Plotong after Tiaga and Juaga. AMT gearbox is more like a sequential automatic gearbox. Its like a manual gearbox without clutch. Semi auto kinda function. If they're like Alga Romeo Selespeed, or Mits Step Tronic, Porsche/Audi TipTronic, Ferraro F360 F1, then ma no problem lor.

Sorry my Gabby thingy drag abit sign0006.gif, please go back to GaGa unsure.gif

I got a Savvy AMT at home. Take over from sister & it's aged at 6 years old now with about 65k KM travelled.
So far no major issue with AMT GB. But the parts in AMT GB really cost a bomb. The accumulator pump is one of it that need to be change at 100k KM according to those sifu in Savoc

Yah I think I saw your post in Gabby's club and Persoga club also hmm.gif But if I'm not mistaken, I think I saw you post about your AMT problem, no? hmm.gif May be I'm old jor la whistling.gif How's the car by the way? 6 years for 65k is reallyl low mileage, sure dashboard no reset?

Stick the key in, hit the brake whilst fiddle the shift stick back and forth P/R/D then back to P, then try to start again.

If all that doesn't work, take out the key, open bonet use some none conductive thing(such as stone) to gently knock on the battery connector(could be loosen). Then only u go back inside the car and try to start again.

QUOTE(coolkwc @ Sep 2 2012, 08:49 PM)
Just want to share, this two weeks drive Kenari auto, but drive like manual. tongue.gif

The secret actually is not something special, which is cruise and shift gear in a optimum RPM.
Kenari also 4AT, i notice if light footed, it will shift up @ 2.5k RPM, seems like will have good FC on that, but actual isn't.

Example, i drive in city, where speed varies from 20-70km/h. If engage D4, it will shift to 4th gear when reach 50km/h, after shift up, the RPM is around 2k only (actually could be lower, only around 1800rpm, but since it is torque converter, slippage cause engine reading is higher), so when continue accelerate to 70km/h, i need to press throttle quite deep due to ratio not correct.

Please bear in mind, this will lead to poor FC even RPM is low. Because @ 50km/h @ 4th gear, i need to press quite deep throttle to accelerate, in this case, the RPM will shoot up higher which is 500 rpm higher due to torque converter slippage, and the fuel is wasted in this way.

So i engage in L3 in this case to lock in 3rd gear only, and only turn to D4 when speed reach >70km/h @ around 3.5k rpm, i notice only need light foot on pedal and acceleration is alot better. Sometimes i even use L2 to lock 2nd gear until RPM >3k only shift to L3, then >3k only to D4. For downshift, i will shift from D4 to L3 once it <60km/h, if in D, it will not shift down to 3rd gear. The result is a superb FC, around 14.5km/L in 100% city drive. Don forget this car already aged 11 years. Even my gf surprise her car can get such low FC in city drive.

I'm not sure about Saga 4AT, but hope to share my experience in short driving period of 4AT. Not sure whether this will harm the transmission or not. My understanding this will not because what gear you select is not direct link to gearbox(unlike manual), it just tell ECU to shift down or up. Hope this can improve FC on Saga 4AT, and drive 4AT quite fun actually. biggrin.gif  tongue.gif

Sigh.. I was wondering how much will the cost probably be..

And also these kind of cosmetic fix... where do you guys usually go to? some of my friend told me to go to segambut... But i have no idea where lol

Unable to give estimate until you show some pictures of where it dent, if possible also need to see from the inside. If wanna spray, it will be whole bumper, normally cost around RM200. If normal knock to restore will cost RM50~100 on bumpers. Unless bracket wrecked, your rough estimation should be around RM300 (provided other parts not injured). Mudguard fella if you find cheapo, you get cheapo work, probably different bumper color also whistling.gif Since the car so damn new, suggest you go back Plotong. Don't later void warranty la, this la, that la, you come back fuck 9 me whistling.gif

Should be fine. Only backwheels MAY sagat depending on the offset. Yours is HLA, so shouldn't be problem. Pls check the tires thread before purchase. You only have RM180 difference, might not be worthy if tire thread not up to your expectation. Besides, check out the tires manufacturing date as well. nod.gif

After long testing with BHP, finally I managed to finish that tank of petrol.Clocked 452.3km(usually 500+ with ESSO). After input data to fuelly, below are some shocking findings shocking.gif

11.26km/litre
8.879litre/100km
16.9cents/km

I loss about 20% of mileage on BHP compare to ESSO. While using BHP, I can hear my engine pinging most of the time, I had to gradually decrease speed to reduce ping. Worse is, any hill climb will result in more ping! If you heard of Iswaga taxi turning into corner whilst lazy to change gear, maintain at 4th gear pickup then you hear engine crying out loud something like "click, click, click" kinda annoying noise. However, on long straight road, I think its doing very well. I will just have to maintain light foot on the gas pedal, the car will cruise into its phase. Vacuum able to maintain 15in/hg and above on 5th gear running at 90kmh. I guess with a tank of BHP running pure highway will be a better choice. The rest of the territory suck. Sprint is lousy, uphill climb is lacking, over taking is horrible, for me its not quite suitable as I'm a town driver.

The next tank is Petronas Primax 95 Extra. Its been years I haven't use petronas, the vapor smell is very strong! The same route I'm going through every week is going to help me decide which is the better petrol for me and my family. If anything can beat ESSO/Mobil/Petron, I will gladly redeem all my smile points then switch over to the best available petrol flex.gif

Well, that's why I'm testing all different kind petrol now. Carburetor don't lie brows.gif if low octane, then it ping icon_idea.gif octane too hai, hill climb crippled doh.gif Let me finish this tank of petronas 1st, later after update fuelly I will update here again. Nice report~! but why sum ppl use BHP can get good mileage??  hmm.gif

btw waiting ur petronas report..

p/s : my this tank mileage will be very low lar... kaki gatal for a while go cucuk ppl...haha
*
Well, I'm not challenging BHP. From my point of view, I don't think it suites me as I'm a city person. 70% of the time I'm stop, look, go. I guess the low end torque for this petrol is not as good as ESSO. These few days driven in heavy traffic condition drove me crazy with BHP. Everytime pickup speed the engine will ping like nobody's business. Unless I go full throttle, then the ping goes away, in replace is engine roaring sound brows.gif But once the car running smooth, pedal action seems better than ESSO in my opinion. I would take a wild guess, on hiway/long range cruising, BHP should be better choice.

Bear in mind, I'm not against your opinion. I'm testing these petrol with a carbureted 4G13P Iswaga. Iswaga doesn't have EFi, neither ping sensor. It doesn't know how to differenciate petrol ratings, no adjustment of ignition timing. So, whatever difference can be magnified and will directly reflect on mileage. Stay tune for future report. My next update should be this Friday.

Sorry for slowpole reply. Company having earthquake, lotsa work to do now as my team only 2/5 work force now.

Regarding oil catch can, you may use some cheapo stainless steel mug to make 1, can get from Daiso/100¥ shop/Hinode @ very affordable price. Drill 2 holes adjescent/across the diameter on top of the mug. Buy a a pair of threaded joint(connector) for both end. Screw the join into inlet, the apply nylon cloth on the outlet before screwing in the connector act as filter. Reason being, to filter out vaporized engine oil being flow back to intake manifold. For easy maintenance, pls go sparepart shop buy thick vacuum hose to connect both end of the DIY oil catch can. 1 end connect PCV on rocker cover, another end connect back to intake flexi hose after air filter before throttlebody. Alternatively, those LPG tank hose can be use(like picture shows by dares), or can steal your mom's kitchen gas stove hose. These hose hold better pressure and will not expand easily as it was reinforced with nylon body! Con is, its very hard and may bent your PCV outlet over the long run.

Been awhile I haven't do all these DIY smile.gif If any of you want an affordable OCT, pls fund me to own 1 super quality OCT with super affordable price. Estimated below RM50. Pictures & DIY instruction is provided while work in progress nod.gif or later can initiate bulk to buy DIY part. Or you guys can start work on it, later provide feedback.

Good luck. Back to work grumble.gif
