Hey,

Not sure where to buy in Penang but you can always buy from Giant or Daiso. Daiso's pretty cheap at RM5 per pack - there's S, M & L in size.

Travel bottles are usually sold in Guardian, Watson's, Giant. Or you could always buy travel bottle shampoos & conditioners and reuse the bottle. That's what i do!

Max per bottle is 100ml/100g. Max per zip bag is 1litre (meaning 10 bottles in total). Usually toothpaste dun count la.

You can't bring your hair dryer on board.

The last I tried doing so (of course I asked the check in counter if I could otherwise I might need to throw it away) was a few years back and they said better to check in.

When was this and which airlines? Where were you flying to?

Quite a few people I know have brought hair dryer in that hand carry luggage before.
