Stacking HP can get you to the same effective HP as stacking AR with less HP. But stacking AR although it's expensive gets you more mileage out of each HP, which makes attributes like LOH, life steal, life regen, and extra health from globes that little bit more valuable.

Actually, looking at your stats (4000 armor / 200 AR), adding 1 point of AR gives you more effective HP than adding 10 points of armor.

Yes, the damage reduction formula hasn't changed - that's the most efficient ratio.

What MP are you playing? Your stats look ok. Maybe you need an adjustment to your play style? Would be good if you can upload a video.

Not really sure what I should aim for.
Dex - yes, but how much.
Vit - also yes, but how much. I have 179vit on my Shadow and I need to substitute it.
Armor/res - maybe? I have too much resists though compared to armor.
Life regen - maybe? I stack life regen in my build and I rank top 500 for dh
Disc/hatred - I don't feel that I need extra
Bonus to spike traps - yes, definitely

My opinion after playing more uber games:

Vault is really useful for yourself and your teammates. Faster repositioning away from lashers and blobs, repositioning to rez, and just getting out of trouble in general.

Caltrops is really sexy for the 10% cc boost. So much free dps. It is also useful for the skeletons/brutes in maghda/sk - lay caltrops and overlay with spike traps, to maximize trap damage.

M4D mortal enemy is essential to spam hatred generators faster. Just hope that you aren't in a game with another M4D user or you'll have M4D wars

I value thunder bola's stun more than imminent doom. Even if another teammate is speccing for crowd control, I still use it because circumstances can force the teammate to stop shooting, and with that the stunlock stops.

Do you still use tactical advantage? SS with tact adv is like vault without it, so maybe you won't find it more valuable.


For my SA+archery SOJ build, 162K -> 188K (45.5% -> 55.5% cc). That's a pretty significant 16% boost

Archery or perfectionist (depending on MP level and if there's war cry), steady aim, nightstalker. Vault tumble, gloom, M4D mortal enemy, caltrops bait, thunder bola, echoing spiked trap.

I usually use Thunder Bolaa. I'll consider trying Bitter Pill instead of NS.

You'll lose a lot of survivability from that change. Keep your current belt in your inv and swap depending on the situation.

Added on November 4, 2012, 5:16 pmJust completed my embrace purchase - 100dex, 256vit (yes, 256 lol), 6% bonus to spike traps. I mildly regret as there was another one with 160dex 160vit going for about the same price, but I didn't get outbid so too bad. My footprints have 172dex 77vit 80ar.

I speedrun slower now than I did in 1.04 with the overpowered TOC I no longer use vengeance nor nightstalker. Just need preparation focused mind on skill bar. Steady aim, tact adv, and sharpshooter are my passives. The purpose of this is to maximize my chance of 1 or 2-shotting trash.

Having tried multishot many times, I still prefer ball lightning. It travels beyond the screen, whereas multishot can't reach the extremities of the screen.

However, I find multishot better in coop when you're following the pace and not leading it. My favorite multishot rune when i use it, is fire at will. 15 hatred is just right.

1. It's not possible to tell from your heart unfortunately, without some sort of damage logs that can be saved to a file to analyze.

2. Generally no. It only guarantees you a 3% crit and in most cases, other passives are more useful.
