Sadow power is a defacto skill. Personally I NEED it because of reflect damage affix, even the 3% life steal
of nether tentacles is not enough, I will still hurt myself badly killing these. In top500 dps demon hunter, 99% uses this skill, and of those 96.5% uses gloom. It is quite
easy to understand why. Demon hunter still have the weakest survivability, and perhaps thats how it supposed to be. However, with some tweaks
to shadow power I believe we could see some more diversity in the runes picked.
The figures I've picked are somewhat arbitary
Base Shadow Power
Draw in the power of the shadows, gaining 25% damage reduction and 15% of all damage done as Life for 5 seconds.
I have added damage reduction here because that, together with life steal is what we all need, it is slightly less than what you ged with gloom
rune today, and much less than what you did get pre patch.
Night Bane
Personally, I'd love it if this was just as powerful as WotB but that would be dreaming I guess. I'd settle for one of the four buffs barbs get
so either
Increase critical hit change by 10% or Attack speed 25%
(instead of useless 3 hatred per second)
Blood Moon
Increases damage done as Life to 25%.
Well of Darkness
Increase the duration to 8 seconds
Gloom
Increase the damage reduction to 40% (I've increased this, because I think the gloom nerf was too harsh)
Shadow Glide
Gain 30% bonus to movement speed while Shadow Power is active.
Or am I totally wrong?
