Well, I say keep the 2 socket. It looks Badass man. 181 DEX, 99CD and 2 socket again. But then, ur 1 socket very hard to sell la. Easier to sell that 2 socket.

Well, how much does such 2 sockets go on US server? if you can get lots of gold to do upgrades to other parts, maybe is much better to sell. Tell you what, go find AH and see whether you have anything you wanna buy and see whether selling that manticore can get you those stuff. If can, i think you should sell.

but bear in mind, now is -416 DPS if you switch to 2 socket but if you manage to upgrade other parts and keep that 2 socket, it'll slowly become +xxx DPS.

Yeah. Too high CD becomes negative..

Played around DPS calculator based on your build, seems that keeping 2OS manticore will give me higher DPS in the long run (as I can ditch CD on other parts to get IAS & CC).

Not too sure about 2OS's price, but my 1OS bow can sell about 15m~30m depending on buyers.

Then that's good. yeah in the long run is gonna benefit you even more.

I always prefer a higher base Dps weapon because..
1 - some DH skills don't crit.. lets say sentry
2- normally cheaper than socketed ones
3 - u also need to purchase extra gem for sockets so that increases your overall investment
4 - I favor more consistent dmg because estimating the exact number of hits to kill a creep is useful to me in speed runs
5 - in future an upgrade to any other gear that increases cd will benefit the higher base dmg.

Ahh, gotta take some more time to make up my mind. Since the full conversion to suit the 2OS Manticore will cost me a bomb (another 100% gem, changing CD --> IAS, etc.)

Wlcling is right on the base damage. Is also why i opted for a 1.2k with 1 socket instead of 1k with 2 socket. but then if u manage to get more IAS and CC, the 2 socket will benefit you more.

C'mon gems on US servers are dirt cheap. I've been reading the threads here.

oh btw, the best way to get CC and AS is through rings.

Well, manticore users gotta increase their AS or u're loosing a lot man.

Haha, just few days after I started playing again, gem prices skyrocketed again.. sitting at 18m++ now

After some consideration I think I'll just sell the 2OS Manticore. Too much cost hassle to switch from one build to another..

Also considering the base damage since my build uses Sentry & Bat - which'll never crit

actually I thought manticore users should mainly focus on cc on other gear which would then synergize with a 2 soc manticore... a must-use skill would be bait the trap.

xbow users should focus on cd because it synergizes with archery passive.

as for ias, it would benefit xbows and bows more due to the faster base attk speed of these weapons.

check ur base dmg with calculaotr, eventhough u hav high cric hance , u stil ldeal alot of white dmg



anyawy ur 1 scoket 1.2kdps dex manticore at least 30m

18M for a radiant star emerald is cheap?

I don't agree. More IAS means faster hatred regen, crit, procs and also more damage done within the shortest possible time. Imagine a static DH with high IAS, before he or she moves again, a fast shooting one might have able to launch 3 shots compared to the 2 of a slow one.

I think is like improving your weakest part.

and besides with higher AS, you can stutter step much much better.

So I won't say a manticore user should focus on CD instead of AS.
