Thanks for the advice, but I already ended up going to LYP and fell in love with the samsung 27 incher. It's just sooo huuugee that I didn't think much and got it. 

It's true that it's got a lower DPI, I can totally see your point and it's noticeable when you look for the pixels.

But each time I think about the lower pixels I just keep noticing how biiiiig the monitor is and didn't mind much... more immersive experience since the monitor fills your view THAT much more when playing FPS and driving games. Starcraft 2 minimaps are much easier to see now and it's a very big plus point for me.

I can view TWO full page PDFs for work purposes to boot.

All in all, no buyer's remorse. Very happy with my purchase.  It's f***ing huge! Monitor screens don't get any bigger than this for less than 1k!

why? damm nice narrow slim bezel, just about 6mm vs. old model 18mm. and come with 2 HDMI 1.4 MHL. but my interests is DP out support, my wish is setup dual monitors, with just 1 DP out from PC, then second monitor connect from primary monitor. dock my AC511 sound bar
