QUOTE(zerohunter @ Aug 20 2012, 04:25 PM)
Haha , good one .

I have few opinion

1. I would suggest enermax naxn 82 + 750w bronze semi modular over the corsair tx/hx 750 , cheaper and semi modular

2. I would suggest gtx 680 4gb / hd 7970 toxic 6gb for triple monitor setup , multi GPU sometime got bugs and consume more power , also need a more expensive mobo

3. I suggest WD brand over seagate for HDD , reason is WD gives 2 years warranty , seagate 1 year only

4. For non oc , single GPU rig , I suggest either MSI b75ma-p45 rm224 , or gigabyte h77m-d3h rm299 . Actually there is another recommendation which is Asrock h77pro4/MVP rm299 but very difficult to get stock

5. No need performance ram , just stick with value ram , no real life performance different

6. Never get Samsung optical drive
*
Zero, go recommend la...you also one of the sifu here ma, got more experience. I'm see review and videos all suport corsair de so I just go with corsair, fsp and sliverstone psu tongue.gif

Hey guys, to ease you guys from selecting your pc in here...I have ard make a blog and copy all of your recommendation inside so if this thread went up to 20pages it's easy to search your desire build in it smile.gif

Asrock H61M-GS does not fit into the Bitfenix Prodigy (from build 2- Nicholasontheway). Bitfenix Prodigy is a mITX - mATX is much bigger.
*
Which board fits in? i can't seem to find 1 tongue.gif

I'm pinning this thread. The previous thread's success was shortlived because TS go MIA tongue.gif myself being one of them.

initially it was my thread, all based on my recommendations. then later there's some other guy, i can't remember. biggrin.gif

now i hope SARX can do a good job updating la, while the rest just pm him to update the 1st post.

or better still, you can list out ALL the contributors. we give about 2 weeks to accumulate contributor list.

After that, each one go in an post 1 post in a new thread. This way everyone just update their own post, no need kacau TS. biggrin.gif ....... now why didn't I think of this earlier (eg 2007 till now) - i have no idea. LOL. maybe my brain cleaner now.

Added on August 20, 2012, 10:22 pmhrm. after going through 1st page - i guess you guys are already doing that. me slowpoke. nevertheless - I think we'll have to tidy up the thread a little.
*
I actually copy all the build and make it into a blog, well nobody seems to care tongue.gif

if they don't mind that ok la.

i haven't updated mine. http://www.goldfries.com/pc-buying-guide/ and i don't copy others setup to put on mine because i don't feel nice. smile.gif
*
I did mine too, but the problem is when this thread goes wild like 20++ pages, forumers can't find their desire build in that pile of mess, so I just copy mine and theirs and just make it into a blog! Nice and simple with title to go with, easy to find smile.gif

biggrin.gif of course la. notebook new model come, old model go.

desktops are totally different.

just load a price list and you can see the variation.

# of processors x # of board x # number of ram config x # gpu # gpu qty x # storage x casing x psu ........ biggrin.gif we're looking at an insane amount of combo for different purpose.
*
I think this will be an endless thread coz new and higher technology keep coming out, and Laptops are fully made! You don't even need someone to recommend you a laptop! While for desktop different part fits to different part give you different performance. You can also choose to watercooled ur system.

So now let's hope this thread last as long as I live XD

Intel but i heard AMD is highly overclockable (fx-4100) at 5ghz with stock cooler
*
It depends on what are you gonna do? If you're a designer or rendering video then go for AMD which has 8-cores but cost alot cheaper...If for pure gaming then go for intel smile.gif If both then go for i7 the best

Z77 is more for overclock-able CPU like the k series...h77 will be more than enuf for u if u buy non-k CPU...

FYI, Asrock mobo got a function call non-k overclock smile.gif

Please elaborate on your entertainment....entertainment on video and some online game? No hardcore gaming like mw3 and bf3 Intel onboard HD4000 graphic in the i7 can do 1080 reso on video smile.gif

Since your budget so tight and do video rendering i7 is the way to go, maybe save up later and get a dedicated GPU smile.gif
