Dunno what's with Alex and strikers.. We have plenty of them already and honestly I think Angelo is a signing we can do without.. He might just end up like Rossi .. Rather see the money used to strengthen the midfield

Don't worry, if Alex really wanna buy a midfield, he will do it regardless we buy this striker or not. Yup, we have a debt. But this club also generated alot of money. Alex know what best for the club.

You just missed my point completely. Don't remember me said use the money from Angelo deal and buy a midfielder. What I said is, "REGARDLESS" we buy Angelo or not, if SAF really wanna buy someone to solved your so called "apparent midfield problem", it will not have any effect. Just beli lah.

Do we really need to strengthen the midfield, when have the prospect of Fletcher of coming back, and perhaps coming back stronger than ever? From the squad photo, he looks healthy indeed, and gaining a few pounds from the look it compared to his U-21 appearance few weeks back.

I think the current tactic is allowing the two midfielders young Cleverley/Anderson to develop themselves as all-round/box-to-box midfielders rather than just one specific type like DM and whatnot. So, at the moment, we don't really need to strengthen, and we could wait until end of season to make the assessment. Hopefully all our current midfielders will come good, especially Fletcher. We miss his energy tongue.gif

well maybe we dont.. but even if its one for the future its would still make more sense.. i dont see many upcoming midfielder from our u21 actually.. pogba was one of the best and even he left already. meanwhile strikers.. we're just overloaded with the young ones.. macheda, hernandez, welbeck now angelo(honestly, do u think he is gonna get any playtime here? his growth would just be stunted, like our macheda) i just thought the money would be better invested even if we bought a upcoming midfielder rather than a striker..

I don't know much about the U21/reserves players but Tunnicliffe is one of the three midfielders that have been lauded by the insiders. Even Petrucci looks good as one of the upcoming midfielder/playmaker.

How about Powell? Isn't he is also one for the future, or did you totally forget about it?

you should really buy the united magazine and read more about the first team, reserves, u21, youth, etc.
united youth system is churning out alot of players.
sad probably looked at them and think he needs players of different dimension, skill and talent which is why he went out to buy.

i tot transfer window closed, why only now signing?
