To add in another question, I'm new to Alliance cards, and while playing around with the app, it requires me to send a sms to activate? Is that what it means?

As it's my first encounter with this method.

Hold up... if I remember correctly when I read through the thread prior to application, I remember seeing insurance, telco, samsung online and even TNB app being reported as eligible for 8x.

Can't confirm yet as I am still waiting for my statement. If true, then I've got myself the wrong card.. Crap!.. Haha

Hi, since both VC and VI rewards points separately, how about during redemption? Are the points consolidated into a lump sum for redemption?

I've tried my transactions individually, meaning only one new merchant per month, for simple elimination.

Been good so far, minus a few points around for rounding.
Yet, my latest statement has a big chunk off calculations.

Don't have the patience to deal with it yet. Still ongoing dispute about missing cashback with another bank, also the latest statement. If I don't know better, I'd say the banks are jinxed this month..haha

Any experience if they do provide a breakdown for each transaction upon dispute?

In your experience, does the charges via the supplementary card count/combine towards the monthly usage of the principal?

To elaborate, I ask because the optimum usage for VS is known to be RM 3k without MCC conditions, and I'm hoping to get another 3k for reasons.

Seems to work for Signature as well, but not Younique.

Also, I just discovered that there's a card blocking option as well, albeit a little hassle as it requires password on top of pin.

In the case of VI, I assume that it's considered as contactless, what did you get?

I tried 6k ECOM with the VI. Capped at 3k for x8 points.
