You can consider Alliance Hybrid Premium Debit Mastercard..2% rebate, capped at RM180 CB which is RM9k spending, and best of all, no GST. Good enough?

If you can deposit RM200k, then you can open the account and get the card. If not, deposit RM50k will entitle you the Platinum Debit card, 1.5% CB, capped at RM60.

I am planning transfer my insurance auto-debit to You:nique too. Seems like a good deal.
*
At first it may seems like a good deal, and I have calculated it as below:

Spend RM3k per month = 1.67%
Spend RM2k-3k per month =1%-1.67%
Spend RM1k-2k per month = 0.5%-1%
Below RM1k per month = 0.5%

If you have to spend RM3k or at least RM2k to RM3k per month, this is a great card to replace Aeon Watami (pray hard it won't happen). 0.5%-1% might also be good, but need to spend at least RM1k. If below RM1k might as well use other cards.

I am looking at it this way. RM1000 per month is considered confirmed, so anything on top of that will get 1.5% which is good in times like this.
*
I see. My usage on Aeon Watami is kinda fluctuating every month sometimes 2k-3k sometimes a few hundreds. This card might not be suitable for me sad.gif

Hi all, can any existing user confirm this calculation? I thought if monthly spend 2k-3k will entitle 3% cashback which mean 3k spending will get RM90 cash rebate. Thanks
*
Keyword is tier-based. If RM90 rebate means that it would be the same as Aeon Watami which offers 3% rebate.

i wonder this You:nique Credit Card...can I use it to pay for the income tax online in order to get the 3% (of course, must reduce the 0.8%)?
*
Yes, any retail transaction is also counted. Accurately speaking, you will get 3% rebate for your income tax after you have spent RM2k.

I see. If you spend average or more than 3000 but less 3001, this card is awesome. rm 50 is gurantee biggrin.gif

QUOTE(AzaelTheKid @ Apr 20 2016, 10:29 AM)
urm, question if you spend one purchase over 3k .. do you get cash rebate 3%? after that purchase, next purchase would only be 0.3% right?
*
Correct. After 3k will be 0.3%. Depends on your spending I would say, for small spenders like me I will get SCB Gold Mastercard, spend RM1500 and you will get RM50.

urm, mostly i would use this card for purchase which is a big sum but not always. so which rebate do you think is better?
*
Why not get both? If small spending, use on SCB Gold. If you have a big sum, spend RM1500 on SCB Gold then switch to You:nique or HLB Essential to continue get rebate.

scb need meet min spend.
those spend exclude petrol and insurance.

not comfortable... sad.gif
*
Like I said, depend on your spending. It doesnt affect me much as petrol has other better cards. Insurance will put in this card to get 3.33% rebate.

QUOTE(donhue @ Apr 20 2016, 01:18 PM)
does SCB have annual fee waiver clause like the you:nique (i.e. 12 swipes per year to be eligible for free AF)?
*
No. Need to call for waiver. Subject to their approval.

Sorry i am confused.
which card will get 3.33% rebate on insurance?
*
SCB Cashback Gold offers RM50 rebate for RM1500 spending. Effective cashback is 3.33%. Best thing is you can charge on petrol and insurance to achieve the RM1500 spending even though no rebate on these categories.

Your 1st thought correct
Ringgit plus is incorrect, you will never reach the 2nd and 3rd cap mentioned
If ringgit plus is correct i think more people hold this card already
Do you mean that if i got insurance of 500 monthly.
I spend another 1000 in other categories (except insurance and petrol)
Total spend = 1500
Rebate got 1000 * 5% = rm50 ?
*
Yup, that is the tips given by SCB in the table on how to maximize your rebate. So to me, I will deduct the insurance amount from RM1500 and do my spending normally to get 3.33% effective rebate.

hi
anyone using this card?
sorry kinda confusing with the cash rebate....
how come cash rebate % drop if u spend >3000?
mean spend more = less CB or any other calculation method?
*
It is tier-based. Any spending after 3k will drop to 0.3%.

Monthly Spend (RM) Rebate (%)
0 - 1,000                    0.50
1,001 - 2,000            1.50
2,001 - 3,000            3.00
> 3,000                    0.30
let say my spending rm6000
meaning like this?

Monthly Spend (RM)      Rebate (%)          CB
0 - 1,000                        0.50                    5
1,001 - 2,000                1.50                    15
2,001 - 3,000                3.00                    30
> 3,000                        0.30                    9

so total CB per month is rm59?
or only 6000 X 0.3% = rm 18??
*
RM59 is correct. If RM18 might as well cut it.

My guess is that this RM50 cashback is from the agent him/herself, same as previous promo, but was RM100 IINM.
