Good day,

I search this thread and found out that this card rebate is per statement cycle.
I just applied and got the card at 25 March.
So if I spend 3k on 27 March, and 3k 3 April, on 26 May total i will only get 50 CB.
Correct?
*
You didn't tell us when you will get the first and subsequent statements (the statement date).
What if your first statement cycle includes both 27/3 and 3/4?

It's still beneficial to me as my cost is 1.3%
Every month I still earn 0.1% by using the credit card to pay my credit card balance

RM3 for RM3000. Lol.

Don't get addicted with CC -> Ewallet. You will see CC issuers slashing their rebate/reward or start charging annual fee in coming months. The due date for Payment Card Reform Framework by Bank Negara is only 14 months from now.

There is no way to top up ewallet with pay wave.
*
Find a merchant that let you paywave, he charges 1%-2%, give you ewallet credit in return. Except Petrol station.

I still looking for place to roll it because I tend to tie my card with boost but now boost has closed all the loopholes means time to look for another new way to roll

Ask your friends can help or not, if they are a Maybank Duitnow QR merchant.
Don't always use the same merchant!

Still a lot of customers are paying by cash, the merchant can save time and cost to deposit cash at bank. No increase in turnover.

hmm..I cant really tell, maybe the forex conversion already included that 1% in the statement, so is somehow "hidden" unless you breakdown the conversion rate.
hope other member here can comment.

if you choose to pay in MYR when in oversea, the terminal will show the final MYR amount + the surcharge, very transparent.
*
If pay in local currency, around 2%-3% surcharge by the card issuer and Visa/MasterCard.

If choose to pay in RM, CIMB will charge 1%, but not cheaper than paying in local currency because of a few % hidden surcharge (Dynamic Currency Conversion) at Merchant (and their bank).

So always pay in local currency.

Also, using debit card or prepaid card is cheaper than using a credit card.
