crap wrote that wrongly

i meant PPS max is 750kb/s which is 6mbps.
Worse case is 250kb/s which is 2mbps
and average is 400kb/s which is 3.2mbps.

never seen it go more than 6mbps.
weekends and new shows are normally the one at 2mbps.
*
Learn to use capitalisation ok ?
KB = KiloByte
kb = kilobit

If you knew the difference why post like below ? unless your Shift/Caps Lock button is broken.

its correct
whats the prob??

u dont need capitalization.

just wrote it for ure sake since u want to be all formal like and was wrong in ure
KB and kb.

its kB/s and kbps for data over time.

did u have a overshift/caps issue?? lol
*
You confuse newbie readers.... KB/s is what is shown on IE/FF download manager... not kB/s

I think I know what is my problem.
I using windows 8 with pps.tv install. My pps.tv only can get around 400kbs. I try another computer with windows 7 and pps.tv. I can get more the. 2000kbps

I need to wait until pps.tv fully support windows 8
*
Possibly TCP half-open connection issue on Windows 8 ?

Was wondering, anyone knows how to check Line Attenuation? Do we need to log into the TM's modem instead of the Maxis' Thomson router?
*
Logon to the TM Modem for this details...

you are one lucky dude,
either that or you didnt demand much and doesnt need the ping to play games.

My maxis installation didnt go through.
decided to cancel when they call for installation confirmation.

the whole experience itself was not good,
application was submitted late june for rm118
no calls for installation appointment until mid july.
installation schedule for early august.

been lurking in this thread and maxis forum
the more i read the more unhappy i am.

turns out dumping maxis was a wise decision.
*
It's a blessing in disguise... else you won't find P1's cheaper offer.
I don't play games....

QUOTE(duckaton @ Sep 10 2012, 11:19 PM)
P1 (5mbps) rm99 is not actually cheaper than maxis (10mbps) rm118

When i dumped maxis,
I thought I'd stick to my streamyx 1mbps (RM97 including phone promo)
or wait until unifi comes up with something cheaper.

then P1 comes along,
I was so sceptical at first,
so scared maxis prob will be duplicated in P1

If price is the deciding factor,
things will be so much simpler.
*
As long as it's cheaper than TM's UniFi... why not ?
But there's a stupid clause : Make 1 call a month

I am a heavy downloader. I use internet everyday and download big sized files every day. From what I have read so far, the high ping shouldn't be affecting the download performance right?
*
Download is very very fast at 10Mbps
