you mean the button on the gear lever ah?

the shift lock we are talking about here is the mechanism which prevents the gear lever to be shifted away from P without pressing the brakes first. Coz in the older FL and BLM, the auto gear can be shifted even without pressing the brakes.

for CVT, it is the same. just that it is easier to move the car at low rpm because the torque curve changed. no need to pijak like a mad man.

but I realised the speed @ rpm drops when different type of petrol is used. When I am having Caltex, it is easier to hit 70kmh @ 1800rpm. Changed to Petron, it could hit around 65-66km/h @ 1800rpm. Now using Shell, it only can go up to 63-65kmh @ 1800rpm.

maybe all petrol can hit 70kmh @ 1800rpm kua, but takes time. lol

BTW shell really sucks...

coz, when i wan drive into Petronas, got one corolla altis driven by auntie go exit that petronas using the same entrance, so i cancel the plan and dive into the shell station.

no wonder the fuel nozzle keep on auto stop after every RM2 pumped in.

the whole stock exhaust system is made out entirely of metal, so nothing worry about. It will not be that hot until the whole exhaust system melts. Furthermore, ekzos standard kilang punya piping is . So nipis. Sooner or later, it will develop cracks no matter how you drive.

as for the spark plugs, as long as one don't skip on its changing interval then it will be good.

As for the ignition coil, it is not affected. This device only increases the voltage but the ampere stays the same. Electrical wear and tear are caused by ampere, not voltage. Same goes to human. Ampere kills human, not voltage.
