Doesn't exist on any of those advertised. The 1 I'm looking for is clearly different than those available in the market. Thanks for the effort anyways. notworthy.gif

is it manufactured by UR or other brand?

why dont you try to check directly with manufacturer?

QUOTE(fkinmeng @ Jan 6 2014, 12:41 AM)
for the latest vios, what is the major difference between J and E spec? just the signal indicator at side mirrors and non adjustable rear seats?
*
QUOTE(chienx @ Jan 6 2014, 06:39 AM)
Fog lamp, retractable side mirror, seat color,cd player diff , arm rest cup holder,..I thk only these and wat u mentioned.
*
not to forget the 60:40 rear seat feature.

to be honest, its not worthy to get E, better opt for G is possible. Following is the price:
J: 77.3k
E: 83k
G: 88k

The difference between E and G is only RM3k, whereas from J to E is RM6k. If you've budgetted for E, i would strongly suggest you to get G instead. Its much more feature packed.

perhaps, if budget allow... go for Focal or Bose IMO...

if budget a lil bit constraint, Rockford fosgate (although not a brand that famous for SQ)... next i have to mentioned, Domination.. (i guess you nvr heard of this brand before but it is from indonesia)... the SQ and staging makes me jaw drops once at its low price range... but in long run it might not serve you so well due to the material used  blush.gif
*
my current aim is at either Morel Maximo component set which cost around RM550 per set; which i believe is on similar par with Focal; if im not mistaken.

Never a fan of RF, biggrin.gif

Domination, heard of it before but the price is quite steep.

On the other hand, found this cold brand offered by LYN member... looks promising as well:
https://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1831319&hl=

what do you think?

Btw, do you know the door speaker size for this New Vios? I'm planning to get 6.5' component... hmm.gif

6.5' shouldn't be a problem for vios door panel i guess   smile.gif

morel is fine too... vifa i got friend using but i feel it need a powerful amp to handle it... and the treble is not really my type...

after all, if you don't plan to get an amp, make sure u get a decent HU to power your component... gd luck  nod.gif
*
honestly, i don't plan to get any amp due to warranty and space issue. Prefer to keep it as "stock" as possible.

from your comment, seems like Vifa is not ideal huh? hmm... guess i'll survey around more before getting one.

thanks alot for the kind advise.

Nevermind, just found out UR only advertise it under P42 category, not exist on 07 and latest 2013 model. Next question is, all 3 model of Vios having the same torsion beam? Can I fix it in a dugong? hmm.gif

from the given pic, it is definitely the commonly available rear ARB. i used to installed on both my Kenari and Ford Focus.

the effect is very significant~ thumbup.gif

QUOTE(fkinmeng @ Jan 7 2014, 12:18 AM)
difference between E and G is 5k. sleep.gif

just wondering whether it's worth to top up extra 6k from J to E, after all it's seems like not much specs difference.

that is why i'm driving a J now. smile.gif

izzit this torsion beam with stabilizer u guys talking about?
[attachmentid=3805361]
btw dudes, did ur lower driver and co-driver seat look like this????  rclxub.gif

driver side, DAT STEEL!!! no wonder the road noise so obvious! vmad.gif  vmad.gif  vmad.gif
[attachmentid=3805363]

co-driver, what is this black thingy?
[attachmentid=3805374]

let me check the underseat after work.

for me, the main culprit of the roadnoise resonance comes from your hollow rear boot. Get that fixed and you will feel much more bliss.

QUOTE(davidke20 @ Jan 7 2014, 11:42 PM)
Rox,

Anti Roll Bar main function is to transfer OUTTER wheel lateral force(if turn right, left wheel is outter wheel), twist the force from going down INTO going UP for the inner wheel(in the same right turn, right suspension to be lifted up). In short, angkat kaki so the right side of the car will be glued ON the road surface. In that case, because of higher lateral force being transferred to the inner wheel, infact the higher cornering speed is applicable, hence lateral G will be INCREASE. I wouldn't want to decrease my G reading after all.

For your information, torsion beam itself is a twist bar. With or without an ANTI ROLL BAR, it will still twist.

user posted image
Having a well designed anti roll bar, it will REVERSE transfer weight from 1 side to the other, to counter the torsion beam twist.

Do take note, the 2 pictures of product I've posted are totally different. 1 is bolted on the spring mounting place, another 1 is bolted with a linkage at the absorber mounting. I'm just saying, the 1 you said common anti roll bar, which indeed common among all UR fans is NOT what I want. I want the 1 that UR only posted for P42. On the other hand, to correct you an anti roll bar does not increase chassis rigidity. ARB is unsprung(situated below spring), so has nothing to do with chassis works. If you want to increase chassis rigidity, this 1 will because it's bolted between the 2 main chassis frame.

user posted image

My ultimate question is, whether the 3 models of Vios share the same torsion beam. If yes, I can proceed to get the P42 anti roll bar UR produced, and install it on a dugong. notworthy.gif

Cheers and no hard feelings please.

Dear all,

Can i know which tyre size is the best fuel comsuption for our vios?

175/65R14 or 185/60R15 or 195/55/R15
*
driving behaviour is the key factor.

in terms of logic, wider tyres provide more traction; hence more drag, meaning less efficiency and finally higher FC.

however, wider tyres gives you more grip; hence better confidence in whacking corners.

this is just my point of view.

QUOTE(alexchai86 @ Jan 8 2014, 06:00 PM)
Thanks for your opinion..Currently i am using 205/45R17..high fuel comsupmtion. I in the midst of changing it back to stock rims size either 14" or 15" reason is because I am going to  travel at 60km per day next month onwards. blush.gif

so what you think the Vios 2007 G spec rims? what size of tyre that the rim can fix? 185/60R15 or 195/55R15? rclxub.gif
*
Sometimes it's not just the tyre that caused u high FC. Ur using 17' rims which is heavy for Vios that developed for 15' stock wheel size, which mainly due to the low torque engine. Unless ur rims are those super lightweight model like OZ superleggerra.

For example, Ford Focus TDCi can runs average 750km per full tank of diesel, even on 17' rims; thanks to it's powerful 350Nm torque turbo diesel engine.

I would suggest u take 15' with 195/60 for the balance of FC and adequate gripping. Stock is 185. That additional 10mm contact on each wheel won't kills u much and at the same time giving u better grip. Why not?

Hope this info helps.
