hello to alls... currently iam using a sempron stock cooling, however iam going to buy Scythe Ninja SCNJ-1000 from elhh82. but i have some questions.
Does a ninja come with a free thermal paste or i have to buy it seperately?
let says, i bought an AS5, then do i need to clean the previous thermal paste before applying an AS5 on it? If need to clean it but then how to clean it? Is it OK to use a tissue paper to get rid of it?

silicon compound does not do a decent job
so iam going to buy an AS5. Iam using an original AMD stock cooling and isn't that the thermal paste is applied on the core of the processor then do i need to clean that before applying the AS5?

have AS5, lz to use already. using normal paste also i can run my 1.6vcore 2.5ghz A64 2800+ doing F@H 24/7 on Scythe Ninja without any fan.

of course, my case was modded as such the exhaust fan on top keeps the air flowing tongue.gif

Use nailpolish remover and a tissue paper to remove the thermal paste.
I find this the best method to do it.

If you don't have nailpolish remover (u gay!), then you can also use rubbing alcohol. The type where your dad used to use to clean the tapeheads.

many noobs always think that fanless here is no moving air at all tongue.gif

this is wrong.
if u let this heatsink to cook itself and the proc together by running passive without any flowing air, i will really salute you.

this heatsink allows air to pass through with less resistance, that's why it doesnt require a fan to push air through it.

yeah.. the top fins arent hot at all.. hell the mid hole is for you to plaec your finger into to feel it.. remember to test it using your finger, not your didi.

i think the full potential of ninja can be achieved if you cool the fins near the block. look closely and you will notice it.but most mobo design like mine makes it hard to mount the fan properly

Hm, isnt it's website said that ninja is universal compatible with the mobo? except some model, but mobo MSI K8N Neo3 is not in the listed, so i think it is ok... whistling.gif
