hi i just brought this ninja heatsink from forumer name elh82 but when i open the package and see that the some of the heatsink fin is bent and he tell me to bend it back should be no problem is it true???can this cause the performance to reduce???

need some feedback from expert..

mine is slightly bent when i install the hsf..i corrected the fins ..of cuz..no performance degradation wink.gif

It might cause a 0.03C increase in temps, but that's neligible I say.
Bend it back lar, don't kanchiong la.

The bent's can slightly increase the temps but unnoticeable la.

0.03 will be quite a lot. But I think no diffirent in temp.

Lil, you can break heatpipes actually. IT's hollow alluminium, alluminium, weak, hollow, weaker. So....

Its more easier to break full pipe/rod than a hollow pipe,it is because of pressure pushing from inside and outside the hollow pipe. smile.gif

No problem la,just bent it back abit to normal even can't bent it normal 100%.

i bent back a bit but cannot get to bent back to 100% afraid would broke the fins and i scratch the fins a bit during i bent the fins can cause problem with a bit scracthes????

Well, we were all like that once before, so take it easy on him. He just wants to make sure.

Bent fins on the Ninja are not a worry, just straighten them out as best you can. The pressure from the fan wire clips will bend some eventually anyway, so don't worry. wink.gif

dont worry, mine were bent pretty badly at a few spots
but they were caused by myself when mounting it on tongue.gif
got some of my blood on it too

they're by far the softest fins i've seen on heatsinks

no problem with it, just bend it back to the normal shape.
if that fin broke into pieces thats a different story smile.gif
