DA Land Sdn Bhd will develop a RM5 billion project in Rawang, Selangor that will transform the town as well as the development landscape along the northern corridor, according to DA Land CEO Derek Chew.Set to be completed in 2018, the project, known as “The TWO”, will comprise a wholesale city, a theme park resort and an outlet mall.
“The TWO is a truly integrated development where each component drives off the synergy of each other,” said Chew in a statement.
“We believe its unique location, large highway frontage of almost a kilometre and the direct access from and to the highway will ensure the future sustainability of the TWO and its prospective status as iconic Malaysian retail development.”
He revealed that the 51-acre development will feature indoor, semi-outdoor and outdoor parks and gardens, with future phases offering more developments to make it the biggest theme park of its kind in the world.
Notably, the theme parks will boast uniquely designed landscapes with exotic flora and fauna, while the wholesale city will house cafes, restaurants, an entertainment hub, hotels, a cultural performing centre and a convention centre.
For bargain hunters, The TWO will also have wholesale outlets offering fashion and accessories, general merchandise as well as home and household products.
Chew noted that the project can be a wholesale regional hub for Asean since Malaysia is a strategic point in Asia for travellers.
