I doesnt test the space bar yet coz scared if I broke the stock ducky sb using the ring keypuller sad.gif

pull out the 2 ALT beside the spacebar first,
then use your finger to push up the spacebar's 2 sides,
that should be fine.

Glad to know that the Keycool Spacebar fit to the Ducky...

May I know which "+" hole does the stabilizer fit in to?
the one closer to the middle, or the one closer to the side?

Ya. The feel of the wood is good. I purposely choose hard wood with smooth surface. Tiger Birch is this type of wood.
Rest help me to reach the top row of key more easy. I can type more comfortable compare to no rest. But that is for me, some other may dont like rest.

Attached Image Attached Image

My one are made of Teakwood, I make it myself, with high polish.
I found a piece of teak wood that tear out from a broken old furniture,
I carved a side of it rounded, and slanting a bit to the rounded side.
not quite suit me, my table are a bit too small to place it alongside with my HHKB,
and my brother he is using his bluetooth Mac keyboard, so there is less space.

To those who want to order any wood rest or bamboo rest. Do make sure the bottom of the rest had rubber feets or anti slip material. If not the rest will slip and U had to adjust often. Not good at all.
Mine custom rest came with 4 rubber feets. Need to put.
*
take a photo and show us?
my table are not flat, so I need to adjust many time also...

Completed modding my CM QFR Blacks with 62g springs. The result, something in heavier than Red but heavier than blacks. Pretty nice to type on. Blissful ^.^
*
Heavy duty become heavier duty already tongue.gif

Changing springs for CM keyboard,
do you need to solder the switches from the PCB board?
or is it PCB mounted like Cherry board?

Need to desolder. That's the easy part.
The hard part is always to open it up and lubing it. Took a whole day to lube the 87 switches.
Feels pretty nice. But still, modern blacks can't match WYSE blacks.
*
What's a WYSE Black? Switch?

I think in that case, it is better to get a big group buy with keyboards to go, or to ask US proxies to help.
The people at Geekhack at great in helping out, especially when such gross injustice occurs.

I did some testing with the unicomp calculator

1 keyboard $62 (62/ea)
2 keyboard $73.9 (37/ea
3 keyboard $99.9 (33.3/ea)
4 keyboard $117 (29.25/ea)
5 keyboard $138.54 (27.7/ea)

Or about 10 sets of 101-key Model M keycap set, ships at $67

Pretty decent shipping cost, but we need a lot of people joining to make it worthwhile
*
I think same goes form buying from EK,
The smaller pack with individual key or 4 key cluster or modifiers cost less than $10,
but the keyboard and full set keycaps shipping start from $55,
which the box can fit up to 4 keycaps sets,
the 5th plus another $5 or so.....

I tried to ask for a few person to share the shipping here in Lowyat.net,
but no one interested, so I instead ask for the shipping forwarding service in Geekhack,
I sent money to one of the forumer, and they buy it,
so they sending it to one of the forumer, and EK charging $11, for a box of 104 keycaps set
and he received a HUGE box, according to what he said,
so he repack the box in another smaller box,
and he is sending it to me $14, so I spent $25 on postage total.

Atleast I saved $30, but taking the risk of the forumer screw me up.
The total price are still lower than buying from Taobao thru agent.

wanna ask
did any one tested kb with POM?
*
I have a set of Keycool 37keys POM side print,
it feel like ..... harder, and the surface of the keys are sandy,
but my finger are oily and sweaty,
so the surface soon become slightly slippery....
unlike PBT, PBT somehow feel like it can absorb some of the oil and sweat into the keys itself,
and make the surface feel sandy longer time.

I have not type on it for too long, so not sure of it's lastingness...
will report in again after a few months of usage.
