I found O-ring mod make some key stiff. :S Smoothness is affected a bit.
When type-s come. Going to took out the o-ring. Swap black keycap to typs-s. biggrin.gif
*
Why not try to swap the whole body with the silent one? brows.gif
then you get a black on black silent one! thumbup.gif

thumbup.gif LOL i didnt say cannot la. jus found it's funny ma
for me i like tuxedo style (black and white mix)
*
Tux and Piano style, they are quite nice too I think,
but from time to time, we need some color to spice up our life!

The pink stood out so much against the black body,
and without characters on the caps,
it look great, feel like a dessert, cupcake.

i see, if for purpose of cosmetic, then backlighting is quite important for me. what is the mech keyboard u guys recommended in the range of rm300 +- RM20. with backlit better. filco keyboard design is too simple. thinking about cm storm quickfire pro with partial lighting
*
You should try kaiserreich's KBTalking Race 75% backlit keyboard.
It's small, space saving and backlited.
If my budget are around 300++ I would take this.

It's important to be small, so that you can place the keyboard characters area
right in the middle of the computer monitor.
then the mouse beside you are not too far from the side of your screen,
that way you can type and use the mouse in the best body posture,
or else you will hurt your hand and shoulder in bad posture for too long.

so next possibility = keycap, though i have no idea how a keycap affects smoothness of keypress
*
maybe the position of the key are too near to each other...

try to pull out the keys beside it, and below it, the 5key, the 7key and the T-key and the Y-key,
then try to press the 6key again see if it go down and up smoothly.

if that is the reason, you can try to cut the 6key smaller,
I saw a video in youtube, the guy has that problem with his BWU spacebar,
then he use a cutter to cut off some part of the key to prevent the keys touching other keys when pressing.

Added on September 12, 2012, 11:15 pmspeaking of nyan cat keycaps,
does every one know that the original nyan cat song is sing by Hatsune Miku?

The rainbow nyancat song went viral,
but I wonder how many had heard this one before.

I mean the nyancat part, haha.
*
sweat.... I was lost in all those cute cat video while searching for proof,
but I found this:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nyan_Cat

the part that mention the song:

The original version of the song "Nyanyanyanyanyanyanya!" was uploaded by user "daniwell"[4] to the Japanese video site Nico Nico Douga on July 25, 2010.[5] The song features the Vocaloid Hatsune Miku (初音ミク?). The Japanese word for the sound cats make, "nyā" (にゃ?), is the equivalent of the English language word "meow".

and bla bla bla ...

hope this is enough as proof for you...

Guys, question.

Is Topre really that comparable to MX Switches? Some devil has been whispering in my ear asking me to get one yawn.gif

EDIT: Not trolling, if I see review saying the difference is big, I'll surely get one.
*
As Kai said, the different are not as obvious as you switch from membrane to Cherry Mx,
but as time goes by, the Topre switch will grow in to you slowly,
until you one day when you try Cherry again, you will feel that the Cherry are not so good.

When I use Cherry Mx switches, I feel that they are content and good,
but when I change to Topres, I feel that there are some different that are difficult to describe,
after using it for a few months, I pull out my Cherry Mx red again to type on,
I feel that the Cherry are not so comfortable to type on compare to Topre.

The Topre switches is very unique, even if you tried it, you might not get a hold of how it feel,
people need time to get used to it, and once you are used to it, you will never want to use any other switches.

If you want a metal shell keyboard, you can consider the TypeNow solid. It is a metal shell with FC200R body.
Not much problem with the spacebar.
What do you think of that one? the price vice?
is it just a Leopold FC200R with a metal case?

Keyboard story are having a promotion of international order above $50 gets free shipping....
I m considering it......

Korean price should be quite the same.
But for Rm1200, it is certainly not cheap, because it is a mass produced keyboard after all. I mean, for the same price, you can ask MKC to make a custom case for you.
*
MKC custom case huh....?
What's MKC custom case?
any one have a full review with photos of that?

I don't think I can do anything with a custom MKC case alone,
without the PCB with switches on board......

I do not know where to shop for a good quality PCB board,
I do not know where to get the switches and how to solder the switches......

Or is it possible to make a custom MKC case for a Realforce?
but that is available from Topre officially too......
available @ RM750++

anyway any 'road' to get cheaper price filco keyboard?? market price is around Rm430..
*
Go get 2nd hand one, they are cheaper.
test type on them for a few days, or few week, then you can decide to keep it,
or sell it and get a brand new one, that way you can be sure to get a type that suit you best.

you can't be sure of how it really feel until you type on it, for some time,
if you just test type...... even if you test type for up to 10 or 30 minutes,
you won't know how it feel after you are tired, or in other sitting posture......

Filco is the best, but no bling bling. smile.gif I do show kaysa my brown switch TKL b4.
Anyway, owned a new red switch recently, quite like the feel and the light from Ducky dk9008s.

I feel both have their own pros and cons. personally like Filco quality more smile.gif
*
Sup' doc, how you doing recently?

Me been busy like crazy, see what I got here?
Listed on my signature. if you wanna test type for 10 minutes, charge you RM 20.00,
if you test type 2 different keyboard, count you RM30.00 enuf. thumbup.gif
can meet up at some CC in Melaka if you want.

Not noisy like che blue
but got very strong feeling in difference compare to membrane kboard...
and good reputation brand?
*
Every Mechanical keyboard are very different compare to membrane keybaords,

How about this one?
http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?act=ST&f...0#entry51313986

The brown switch is not as noisy as blue,
it's backlited and suit your budget too,

I always recommend small size keyboard.
and support the seller from this topic is a good idea too.

agree hehe hopefully topres will make some bling kb, backlited is super enuff haha...to be honest I now juz abandoned my ducky yotd for topres and its weird haha coz I really love backlited plus black case kb but topres still attract me more even tho the design is juz plain simple!
*
Topre do not need to be Bling at all,
a true King do not need a shiny crown,
it is the quality inside that count.
