QUOTE(Rhasense @ Aug 10 2012, 05:04 PM) IF you havent already, try to invest some cash into an affordable compressor and spray gun for your kits. Coating and painting them makes them a whole lot better. Makes the finish look realistic instead of the regular plasticky finish. Why would you try to recommend a compressor and airbrush to a gunpla rookie? Those are tools for advanced modeling, not for someone who barely knows the basics. Also, if you want to get rid of the plastic finish, just buy a spray can of flat finish topcoat.

QUOTE(Rhasense @ Aug 10 2012, 08:09 PM) Exactly, an affordable compressor and spray. Using markers and using spray are 2 different things. If hes a rookie, best way to start learning how to use one is by buying a cheap set. Nothing big and expensive, just to learn how to. Thats how rookies learn, thats how I learned when I started. U just cant jump to spray and compressor over night, it takes practice and the best kind of practice is by starting out small. I wouldnt expect you to know, this is coming from someone who puts work and detail and love to my kits. Im just giving him some help onto improve his kits. Im not ordering him to. Why are you so rude ?? As well as other members here? Is my location displayed ? Is it my Avi? You have the nerve to call ME rude after saying that I put no work or love into my model kits? How f***ing dare you... How was I ever being rude before anyway? By trying to make you realize that Bandai making a PG Legilis Gundam is never going to happen? By trying to make sure a rookie Gunpla builder doesn't waste his money on equipment he still lacks the skill to use? How about you, when you came into the China Gundam thread with that smartass remark of "you guys actually buy these things?". What the f*** gives you the right to criticize what we buy?

QUOTE(HxiiiK @ Aug 10 2012, 11:28 PM) even up until now, i've probably built over 50-100 kits and i still haven't used my AB.. i've only just started painting up small details, and even then i'm a bit scared of ruining my kits still.. needless to say my AB will be in storage for a bit.. and even then it's just a beginner AB set.. the money spent there is better saved to buy another kit to practice on, or even some markers to learn lining and detailing first, get the hang of things THEN learn how to AB kits to your liking I tried to get into painting my kits, but it's just not for me. I think i'll stick to clean build with decals and battle-damaged kits for when I want to get adventurous. Might as well put that Dremel to use, right?

QUOTE(Rhasense @ Aug 12 2012, 05:33 AM) Either Maylasian people are really rude or im underestimating the popularity and demand for custom wing zero over there. lol I'm Canadian, not Malaysian. Futhermore, the only way you would ever find a MG Wing Zero Custom for RM80 is if you bought the TT Hongli brand.

QUOTE(HxiiiK @ Aug 12 2012, 07:59 AM) this is one of the awesome ones that don't have an MG We should consider ourselves lucky Nobell even got two HGFC kits. She definitely has one of G Gundam's many "WTF?" designs which Bandai hated on when it came to making model kits back in the 90s.

http://i.imgur.com/H4m4w.jpgMy newest WIP. It was long overdue for me to finally get a MG tv Wing Gundam, and I plan to make this my best battle-damaged project yet. If you're curious, I got inspired by this image: http://i.imgur.com/PjkBU.jpgI probably won't be able to replicate that damage on his wings, but considering his wings have inner frame it should be easy to make some convincing damage. I plan to assemble the bulk of the Gundam and then plan out where the damage goes and how severe i'll make it. Any tips/ideas are appreciated. http://i.imgur.com/UzDic.jpgJust a small update, but I wanted to show off what I have done to his left shoulder. My goal was to make it look as if all of the outer armor was blown off and only the butchered inner frame was left. Given that Wing has no inner frame in his shoulders, I was forced to use my dremel and sand off a lot of the outer armor to attempt to make the shoulder look smaller. I'm asking for some advice/tips. Should I increase the damage on the left side of his chest, or is it fine as is? I don't want to risk overdoing it(hurr hurr).

QUOTE(General_Nic @ Aug 15 2012, 11:57 AM) Perfect 3-in-1 Strike Gundam finally on screen! we all been speculating whether we will have a MG Strike 2.0 since Bandai is going all out on SEED MG now, but why we never thought thought that they might make MG Perfect Strike(with 2.0 frame) instead?? Isn't it called Super Strike, not Perfect Strike? I don't see how it can be called perfect considering having all three packs on at once drains the f*** out of Strike's batteries. Also, the current MG Strike Gundam isn't even a bad model kit. Why does everyone keep clamoring for a 2.0? Hell, VICTORY Gundam needs a 2.0 more than Strike does.

QUOTE(Khai62 @ Aug 16 2012, 12:51 AM) I guess overkill is underrated for the Heavyarms. Trowa is gonna out-firepower the Full Armor Unicorn Gundam or die trying.
