currently, there is a some sorta IT-week in Mid Valley right now until this Sunday.
i have been surveying for a dopod 818pro.. then i saw one.. they are having a promotion.. selling at RM2588.. free a Qool Cradle Audio + Sync + Speaker and a memory card upgrade..

is that worth to buy?? but the sad thing is they have only the pink, lavendar blue and another color.. no black or silver..

u think so? hmm.. but they dun have the color that i want.. T_T

forgot to ask.. 818pro supports chinese?

if buy using CC then it's 2588 but if cash.. cheaper by 30 bucks.. (!!)
i asked if i can pay using instalment.. told me no interest but when calculated.. i had to pay extra 300 (!!!)
choose not to buy then.. buy later this month..

not sure about PDA Expert. there is one shop in mid valley is having a booth in this upcoming PC Fair and they said the price of dopod 818pro together with the gifts (memory card, screen protector, speaker, headset and maybe a bt device) at RM 2888... if buy from their shop, RM 2488 (cash and carry) and RM 2588 (credit card w/o instalment).. if instalment, RM 295 x 12 months but bluetooth giveaway only during PC fair lah~

what do you guys think about fresh gear @ mid valley??

received a brochure with my maybank cc statement..
a few items for 0% instalment scheme with a company called DCR Marketing in Bangsar.. dopod 818 pro at RM191 x 12 months.. while a dopod 838 at RM 272 x 12 months..

838 has the 3G which i've been looking for but it is too bulky to me.. decided to take 818 pro.. had been saying wanted to buy since last year.. it comes with 1GB memory card and a bluetooth set.. worth??

anyone heard about this company?

and another thing.. the manual does not show much about Wi-Fi connections
last nite after going around the settings, i managed to connect to my own wi-fi and browsed the internet.. then in the morning when i tried to connect again.. it showed the connection is available but when i wanted to browse internet.. it tells me no connection..

and another.. i got this i.tech clip III bluetooth device.. fully-charged it, followed the instructions but still couldn't pair it with my dopod.. i switched on the clip III first then turned on the bluetooth on my dopod.. failed.. then i tried the other way round.. still failed.. anyone with this bluetooth set?

bought it from digital stuffs (erm.. or gadgets.. anyone.. the one near the exit) together with my dopod.. RM100 one.. leather.. the brand called krusell.. snap a pic for u when i get back home..

ohh.. no wonder it gets longer when i fully charged it..

EDIT: About the pouch.. the leather - lifetime warranty, the joint (stitching part) - forgot 1 year or 5 years warranty.. i think the belt clip joint also got warranty.. they tagged it at RM129..

When i'm able to browse the Internet.. it shows "Connected".. later, when i wanted to try again, it shows "Available", "Connecting" then "Unavailable".. repeats again and again.. i did not modify the setting after I got connected last nite..

i chose to get that pouch because i'm kinda a clumsy person, i tend to drop things.. i have gazillion of scratches on my mobile phones due to drops.. this pouch is kinda thick, the salesperson did "warned" me about that.. but in case it slipped through my hand, the impact won't be too much, i guess..
