hi guys..

i've followed the instructions to upgrade the rom as in here > http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=319206

when i run that PV_4.0.0.0.6_Touch/Upgrade_ROM.bat and got a successful message and hard reset my device..
but it still looks like normal wm5 interface.. am i missing anything?

have been playing with the touch thingy.. but I've just noticed a few problems:

1. my phone is not working - it gave me a "No Service" even if I choose manual.
2. press "Call" button but no dialpad - it's not giving me any response actually.
3. on today's screen, can't add contact onto the 'frequently dialed' or whatever u call it..

so far, these are the problems i'm having at the moment.

someone pls enlighten me.. thanks!

some memory was used up for applications that running on background. it's normal.

haha.. yeah, din noticed it when i'm not connected..

anyway, about my wm6 upgrade, i've downgraded it back to wm5 and the phone is working..
is 4.0.0.0.6 not stable yet?

after PV_Temp has finished and your device rebooted, remember not to sync your device with ActiveSync.. just click [Cancel] and then run PV_4.0.0.0.6_Touch\Upgrade_ROM.bat

just a personal experience.. while the upgrade_rom.bat is running.. do not touch your device's screen (u'll see a "SUCCESS" message) or exit from that MS-DOS window on your PC.

i flashed mine for second time.. sweat.gif

dun think u'll be able to backup ur original ROM..
u'll just need to download the ROM for ur device from dopodasia.com and re-flash it back.. that was what i did when my first attempt of flashing to wm6 did not went well..

mine usually automatic..
whenever i sync my device with my PC, it will detect any new entries on my device and update the one in outlook.. or the other way round..

did u check "contact" in ur activesync?

go to ur Start>Settings>Connections

Select "Connections", tap at [Advanced] tab, tap at "Select Networks",
At the first dropdown menu, select anything other than your GPRS setting (for me, I select My ISP or My Work Network).

as for ur phone contact.. i dun think u can.. well, at least for me and so far i'm not getting any solutions either..

and for ur chinese chess game.. no idea.. but u can always try to go to this web www.pxdxa.com.. there are a lot of applications..

depend what kinda file.. if the installation file is a .exe, u can run that on ur desktop with ur dopod connected.. if the file is a .cab, u have to copy the file to ur dopod and run it from there.. regarding where to download.. u can always try google for it or search microsoft's website.. sorry ya.. tongue.gif

go to ur file explorer.. select the file and hold (tap and hold), select send.. u shud be getting a few options depending on which file explorer (eg. resco) u're using.. infrared, email, bluetooth.. just select bluetooth..

just search for the receiver device and hit send..

make sure both devices' bluetooth are turned on..
remember to check the [Make this device visible to other devices]
