I'm actually specifically looking for age of empires and any other good games, heard lemonade tycoon was good too. Also basically any other good software I can get, my dopod is quite bare now

if upgrade to WM6, waranty avoid or not??

mine edi no more warranty edi... so as long as the rom is fast and stable, thatz ok fer me

mind 1 still have 5 months warranty. but have flash to WM6. maybe later if got problem ( touch wood ), downgrade to WM5 and sent back to them.

age of empires,if i'm not mistaken still available in o2 mini v2 forum,got 1 guy host dat file.but dono compatible with wm5 or not...

they say, the 838 speaker are kinda louder so, sound may be better than wat we have. Cost is less than RM50.

buzzer is a term for audio upgrade from 3rd party manufacturer bro.just like mr shack sez,its cheap... but for me,i dun quite trust henphone pomen,so,as long as i din found any trusted pomen,i wont do it.
example of sound,erm... i actually heard once b4 in kelantan.its freakin loud,u kno the radio?no matter how loud the volume is,the sound wont pecah rite?its actually same like buzzer.n frankly,i only guess that sound i heard is from a buzzer,(the sound is jus not normal bro...)coz i never ask the guy,n my cousin sez many people at kelantan like to mod their henphone speaker,especially ngange(last time la...)

i cant turn off my wifi..everytime need to soft reset to make it go off..after hard resetting still the same..mine is still under warranty but im lazy to send it to them..upgrading to WM6 will settle this prob onot?

Guys, I noticed that the "E" icon on the top taskbar is not there anymore. It used to be there when my 818 Pro was still in WM5. Anyone experience this... Not that it matters to me, but then, it looks better then the wifi off icon.

i thought .. if you install the latest software ... the system will reject if you want to downgrade and install the older version software .... or is it just my imagination?

ya. there's a utility call Tera Term Pro where you can dump ur ROM memory to a memory card. Go search it thru google.com.

no... dun worry. The system will not know watz ur current OS and the one u'll be installing to. So, dun worry.

And for the warranty, anyone can provide a clear answer. Will it void or not if we mess with the ROM?

Try this HKLM editor :

Show Edge network indicator instead of GPRS


If your network provider supports the Edge network (and your device does as well), you can use the following to show a little 'E' icon instead of 'G' icon when connected to an Edge network:


HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\EnableDifferGprsEdgeIcon = 1 (DWORD decimal)


To disable again:


HKLM\Drivers\BuiltIn\RIL\EnableDifferGprsEdgeIcon = 0 (DWORD decimal)


Note that your device -and- your network operator need to support Edge, otherwise you won't see it. Also note that if you connect to GPRS, you will still see the 'G' icon.

Add GPS settings icon


If you have a GPS device, you can add a GPS settings icon to your Start > Settings menu using:


HKLM\ControlPanel\GPS Settings\Group = 2 (DWORD decimal)
HKLM\ControlPanel\GPS Settings\redirect <-- delete, or rename, this value

Note that '2' stands for the Connections tab, '1' is System and '0' would be Personal
