edit: you don't necessarily have to take a long time to do a few practices. Just 30 minutes a day would do it, at least.

I drew a statue while on vacation at Bandung. I would draw the background but that'll be overkill

Yeah, it's a bit annoying when I can't really give enough depth to the drawing to make it look like it's from those bank notes and the like. It ends up looking real flat. Love dem spess muhreens, btw.

Nah. I quit using different B pencils when I found out using 2Bs is enough to do some shading. Though, I still kept the ol' 4B and 8B stashed somewhere in the pencil case

I can see why. It looks more like a war poster than anti-war. Something like "JOIN THE ARMY, NAO!" than a "stop the war!" vibe. A thing about anti-war posters is that you want people to symphathise what's happening to the victims. A bunch of angry fists and flames would give the wrong impression.
