Lets just wait and see if there are tons of threads , probably it would be on its own sub-forum

But we're not allowed to create multiple threads in the sub-forum. Most of our players adhere to regulations whereby game discussions are kept within the thread. This is why our main thread is getting very bloated, and there are multiple trains of discussion within.

Now if we're allowed to create multiple threads ...

It's bloated due to
a) people not wanting to check out the first page for info/faq
b) loads of one liners in between informative posts

What are these multiple threads that would be created? Player List, Server List... I think for now, just compile all important facts and update the first few posts.

There are way too many sub forums within Gamers Hideout and I kinda agree. A suggestion has been made to consider recycling the Warhammer Online sub forum so basically your requests is heard and is being considered.

No, i dont think we need another subforum of a specific game.

Instead, we need a way to consolidate games by devs or genre, such as Valve games like Dota 2, Team Fortress 2 and Counter Strike" Global Offensive should be put under one forum named as Valve Games subforum. Same goes for Blizzard games for World of Warcraft, Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3, where they should be catogorised under one subforum for all Blizzard games. Instead of having 3 separate subforum to clutter the subforum list.

The reason I disagree with Guild Wars 2 getting an independent subforum  is because this request is being done due to the hype surrounding the game before release. The hype around this game might not be as much as now after the game release on 25th of August which in the end, you get a subforum with less activity.

Do note i am not hoping that Guild Wars 2 or any game to fail, but i just do not want to see almost empty subforum with little activity on the Games Hideout subforum list. For example, the Call of Duty subforum is pretty much dead these days.

I'm with Cheese here, GH is crowded with half-dead forums so I'd suggest some "cleaning" first and we'll see how GW2 thread grows when the game releases.

Previously I did suggest on making dev specific sub-forums like this:

How about a new forum called MMORPG or Online Gaming instead of nesting inside Gamers' Hideout?

Just think about the clicks and custom ad forum that you can get from GH. laugh.gif

Do you guys know that the launch date of Guild Wars 2 was in fact my birthday?

Thank you Arena Net for the awesome-st birthday gift ever!

put it this way, if we had a subforum, looking for the faq or any other related questions could had been identified faster as it has its own thread, and one liners would had been all in the General thread.

we all can agree that gamers hideout is srsly full of ghost town subs, if the admins are still reluctant or hesitant to cut down some of these almost dead subs, s7ran9er's idea is pretty neat too, each genre has their own place, makes searching easier too tbh.

another thing is, i dont see how it wouldnt benefit LYN in general either, GW2 is coming in huge and ppl are gonna start googling for answers related to the game, crafting alone consist of EIGHT fields of craft, and most of us are gamers that have high interest in this, so dedicated threads on each craft alone wouldnt be surprising, google "blacksmith smithing guide diablo3" and the 1st link that pops up is LYN link, i can see it happening for GW2 too, its a win win situation.

the Guild War thread is moving too fast man..
it's hard for me to search for the relevant information that i seek..
everybody is asking all sorts of question inside..
i wonder how does others feel.. very bad like this..
if only we Guild Wars 2 have its own Sub Forum, we can separate those question by topic, which would be much more easier..

tsk tsk tsk..

To those one liners, you dudes can add some points ah? Your post not "power" enough to convince the higher ups lah.

Just answer the following question can already.
"What you want and why?"
