As the thread starter of GW2, I support s7ran9er's idea, currently the thread is moving too rapidly, tho of course mostly thanks to the enthusiast who got a dip in GW2 and got over excited enough.

And therein begs another question:

How does Starcraft and CounterStrike get their sub-forums, whereas Guild Wars 2 does not?

Both games have their own glory times back in the days and indeed both needed the platform to host their local community but one has to ask about the longetivity of the game that drives the community. And what im seeing here is gamers change games too fast, today you'll be playing as a level 99 wizard and the other day onwards you'll be playing a stealth superhuman assassin.

Seeing how the sub forums became halfdead I doubt that the admins would implement the idea of making subs into forum, because eventually the samething will happen and forums will become half dead by the time the game releases.

But, I have to agree here that Guild Wars is indeed worthy of getting of its own forum or sub forum for the entire sequel.

Just something relevant to the thread, this suggestion have my full support. Definitely a qualified game to have their own sub forum since we have GW1 and GW2 now.

Just sharing my opinion here:

A game like Guild Wars 2 actually do require separate threads due to its MMO and RPG nature (trading, guild, class discussion). A good example would be the Diablo 3 sub forum. I don't think there's any way you can consolidate all of that discussion into a single thread.

Some common topic that is best discussed in separate thread to make life easy:
Trading.
Server Up-time/ Maintenance
Individual guild discussion (Diablo 3 don't even have this guild feature)
Individual class discussion
Newbie help Q&A
Major patch/updates

I just don't see how we can consolidate all of that into a thread. Imagine if someone posted a certain question, gone for an hour and by the time he got back, his answers would be buried in pages of other discussions (that is, if his question is not buried first before anyone could answered him). Such thread would serve no purpose then. Having multiple discussion all cramp up into a single thread is just noise.

Just my 2 cents worth anyway

maybe we can just start making new tereds about different topics for guild wars 2 after launch and they will move all those tereds into the new subforum.

It will be appreciated to just know what are the expectations and criteria required to have this sub-forum.
