This news is the culprit for the heavy selldown..

http://www.theedgemalaysia.com/insider-asi...-for-reits.html

The article expect the REIT yield to reach +200-250 bps over MGS10Y yield.. so calculate what is fair value. wink.gif

Even though i dont intend to sell for the next few years, its still heartbreaking to see it drop from 1.32 - 1.25 - 1.18 - 1.12. 1.0x in the next few weeks? I hope not.

According to that article.. it is likely, if it is true. nod.gif

thats the excitement of BURSA lor... if sell at 1.13.. then FLY..sure KEK SUM.
but if sell at 1.13..then drop to 1.08.. will be looking at screen.. dunno should buy back or not, as worried will drop further. that is why cannot overcome EMOTION factor.

my overall REITS PORTFOLIO, IGB almost 40% and its negative 13%...
*
40% in one stock is too concentrated.. less than 20% per counter is more ideal and hence more diversification...

Drop and buy is not a problem, but know how to rebalance and sell whenever there is strength.

For example drop significantly, you buy some but your % is higher than you require. It's ok, at next rebound, sell some to rebalance even only earning 1-2 sen (careful of brokerage!). Next time drop consider buy some, over your % and repeat.

If keep going up, then no sweat, reduce your % to the % you want and keep. If keep going down, your average cost will be lower and lower, and your percentage stays the same.. ..

only nominee i buy stock ...becoz cheaper Broker

Direct for my ipo.....

There are smaller brokers with direct account which is just as cheap or cheaper than your nominee account de. whistling.gif

AND you are using nominee for dividend stock.. yes cheaper initially, but later every divided have to pay fee, 1 year 2-4 times dividend for reits, how much you are going to pay over the life of your investment (>10 years)? whistling.gif

Hi gark,

I share my point...

I like maybanku2...less than 5min..can pump $$ in to buy stock, take out from FD and move to nominee acc less than 5min to buy stock. No need to call broker to comfirm receive my money in real time. Previously what i understand for interbank transafer money require to pay rm2 for GIRO. Dont like to keep cash sitting idle in any bank.

Divident each time receive the nominee will charge rm2.50. Preference only bi or annual dividident distribution.
less it will deduct from my dividend. So is adviseable to invest more...

Nominee CDS can ask the broker fill up the form... vmad.gif Yet i ask them about BSDPlantation subscription they didnt know anyting....I miss that..still agres with u..BSDPlantation tree very old...

I also thought to move my portfolio to direct CDS, juz matter of time i need to go there and do.
I note your idea, i will do some changes;

I waiting the this year investment fair at KLCC..usualy open CDS accout will be free. I did for my wife last year.
This year I will do next try out other Broker, see what feature...
*
1. Other broker also got internet e-deposit. Some are free if bank and broker is same entity. So far I have no problem transferring money. BTW CDS brokerage account pays interest slightly less than 1 month FD only.. so its not a bad deal. wink.gif

2. Dividend get charged, remember fill up form is also not free one, got charges as well ... all these charges will accumulate over time. Some nominee accounts have storage charges as well. CDS all FOC...

3. nominee account is shared account. If certain stocks are very popular, and hit the nominee collective holding limit, you can no longer buy.... whistling.gif Same with some speculative stocks and warrant. Very mah fan...

4. No need wait until investment fair, talk to a broker say you interested to join. Ask them to adsorb all your share transfer fee (usually RM 10 per counter) and also adsorb the RM 10 CDS opening fee. Most brokerage will agree to do so...if you insist. Some will even come to your office open account for you, you no need go to them 1 wink.gif

KL one....can share..how to find your broker?
*
My broker is CIMB at tropicana mall there. But relatively expensive, but i like the convenience since I am overseas.

Cheaper ones you can call Jupiter, Apex & Mplus online, cash upfront direct CDS account 0.1% min RM 8 or less...

All based in KL, you give them a call...
