Thanks for recommendation from all sifus! Well, i have nailed down my decision that i'm doing decision between these two:

What type of headphone is the most comfortable for long hours usage? Is there any headphone that provide comfort up to the level that you can't really feel its presence?

while for me i wanted IEM so badly it cos of the sound isolation!

when i get better sound isolation, most of the sound i listen is from the earphone itself. hence i just open very softly while enjoying my music.

while for headphone, if the isolation is not good enough, i have to blast the volume which would be worst case sad.gif

while for my budget, IEM isolation seem better compare to the headphone on the range

hehe~ hope this would help!

Yup...you are right indeed...
Iem do have great noiae isolation....but like some iem like se535 ....they have a noise cancellation whuch is build in ....but the effect doea not protude out most of the time...

Headphone have noise cancellation like bose headphones....
Noise isolatuon is something quite impossible to be done in headphones but I. prefer headphones to iems most of the time....

laptop as source, but need to get an external dac and a powerful amp, then you can think of some headphones to start, if directly take a headphone and into the laptop audio jack, you are going to have a bad time

Depend on your laptop sound card, if is decent enough then no need external DAC.

less likely, the mobo power will cause distortion and many types of undesirable effects on the sound quality, an external dac can clean up the signals better

Agree, but for casual listening and budget this can be compromised, lol.

* sigh * can portability and sound quality come in a same package? I travel to work in LRT, so I prefer something like wrap-around or clip-on headphones. I do not like IEMs, coz of hygiene and comfort issues. I already have a pair of Fanny Wang, they sound really good, but they are too big, so it is banished in the store room. (What a waste huh?) I have a pair of Koss Porta Pro, they are really good, but they are very uncomfortable especially after the foam paddings are worn off.

Any good suggestions?
