Just bought the FAD Adagio III but right now I feel like the bass is really overwhelming and will give it a month to see if it gets better, but if in the case it doesnt get better anyone know an IEM around RM400-500 that has great mids and tight punchy bass, and clear highs?

Source: Galaxy s3

Genre: All

Budget: 400-500

I need to get a good earphone for running. Preferably around the RM200 - 250 budget.. Wireless if possible. Suggestions are welcomed. But also suggest where I could go and try out the earphones myself, instead of pointing me towards an online store.

Currently, I'm on my Samsung S3 in-ear earphones and everytime I jog there's a bass reaction when my foot hits the ground. It's pretty irritating.

actually it might be teh amp on the S3 at fault, it has quite a heavy bass amp, try using on another device, it will sound different

1. try the Beyerdynamic XP2 or XP3, FA Adagio 3 is also a good choice
2. Note 2 DAC isn't that great, and also on PC motherboard sound output, suggest you get an external DAC and also another amp, then you will get on level with the SQ

perhaps the DT231 from beyerdynamic, most Astro radio stations like hitz.fm use them, and you know they use headphones for their entire sessions, so yeah, comfort and light, sounds awesome too

Actually DT231 is quite comfortable with the cushion pad. However, not all ears work, like mine not fit.
SQ wise you can say it's one of the best in that price. Value buy. Soundstage is very wide. Suitable for casual listening with not so strong bass. Easy going signature.

Had it myself. Still think it's quite a haul.

If not, you can look at Audio Technica AD series. Super wide cushion for comfort. Or ATH Pro5 Mk2 for monitoring purpose.

Or just up budget go for Goldring DR150, stop there and find peace with all your music.

Sennheiser HD202
Sennheiser HD429
Audio-Technica ATH-M35
Beyerdynamic DT231pro

Grado OUT.
HD429 OUT.
Open can disqualified in bus/plane.

Senn signature = BASS
AT Signature = Treble.
Beyer 231 = balanced.

Isolation wise = all are not optimal.

Extra suggestion. ATH Pro5Mk2.
Fischer Audio FA series also can.
