guys.. need advice here.. if i want to do factory reset.. will all my stuff in my sd card gone? how to save all the sms and call log? any idea which apps to use?

is factory wipe in phone and CWM is two different thing?
i did few times factory reset thru CWM but all photo still there.
only apps call log and sms are gone

Anything in mnt/sdcard/android will be wiped.
others such as, mnt/sdcard/gameloft,photo,music,my document,movie  will remain..

i found that after flashing siyah kernel, the unlock and lock sound has a delay. why is that so/

nandroid back up include having a version of stock rom right?

Use doubletwist to sync with itunes

tried wifi file explorer but couldn't transfer a custom rom as the size is too big (2.9GB)

So I thought I'm on the test firmware until yesterday I connect to my computer using kies for the first time, kies told me I there is new update available. i use avast and anti spyware pro and ad away for my security.
PS: avast offers the same features as cereberus, so no point having cereberus. i'm not doubting it's good, but if avast is equally as effective, then why install an additional app which by the way cost money to use ?

I used my own microSIM cutter to cut my SIM card.

Somehow the cutter cut of a little bit of the golden part of the SIM card.
I realised that once in awhile, i don't seem to receive messages (SMS) even though the sender has sent it already.

It's like the SMS disappeared somewhere in the maxis servers and i never receive it.

I heard from a friend that this is what usually happens when the SIM card's golden part is cut off
