Me rber some1 mention b4 that Conti bought up Siemens or merged...??? So Siemens ECU = Conti ECU in later batches.

now its very obvious, 2 of our FC king in LYN GaGa porum got Conti ECU regardless how I drive my GaGa with proper vacuum efficiency, it just wouldn't work as good as Luke's Conti ECUed BLM SE

My Gaga was delivered on 19-10-2010, I think I saw some labels in the engine bay dated around August 2010 so I guess it's sometime between there.

Lemme go home and confirm mine is Conti.

Who said, ur last fuelly got 16km+/L also, so ur claim not valid.

My opinion is, conti or siemens, it still the same chip, i assume. Just like company A got chip A, company B got chip B, both of them are actually compatible in terms of pin layout and function, so program also should be the same, just some minor difference such as pin pull up/pull down configuration, but this won't affect the computation power also.

Continental AG completed the acquisition Siemens VDO at the end of 2007. During that time, all components manufactured by Siemens VDO still bears the name Siemens. It was at the beginning of 2009 that the name Siemens was dropped and replaced with Continental. And due to cost and demand factor, the 16bit ECU enters the EOL stage and production of 32bit ECU still goes on (old stuff mah, so EOL lo. Hu wanna give an F for a kucimiao Malaysian company when there are more larger customers to deal with). Some people said although both shares the different bit-rate, but both still shares the same programming (or flashing, or whatever... dunno whats the term for it. lol).

I suspect mengsuan's device is only compatible for 32bit base ECU. Just like when Microsoft introduced the Windows 7 32bit and 64 bit. Softwares that works in 32bit Windows cant work in Windows 7 64 bit and vise versa.
