DDO, WOW and GW are totally different, all of are MMORPG and has different concept in game play. DDO uses a different battle system. To me its something different and worth while trying.

Most of us buying from the US .. and it cost around RM200+ including shipping cost. If pre-order early, u will be entitle to join the DDO head start, meaning .. u will have a pre-order cdkey and u will be able to play the game on February 24, 2006 b4 the retail launch date. Btw, the retail launch date is February 28, 2006 in the US .. over here .. dunno yet.

QUOTE(Fodder Soldier @ Feb 28 2006, 10:18 PM)
wave.gif  Hi, guys! I'm GPE Typher, a Malaysian citizen, and I've recently registered myself with the Death Guard Legion; nice to meet all of ye. I am ready to purchase the game once it arrives, but one question still nags me: does this game really require a monthly subscription fee? And if it does, how much? And how is it done?

Pardon me for asking these questions, but I'm pretty new to the world of MMORPG, so I'm not too familiar with the game system and such blush.gif. Although I'm an experienced Battlefield 2 player, that game doesn't use a monthly subscription or a similar kind of upkeep; once I purchased that game, I can play it right away (of course not counting the expansion packs and patch downloads), so I'm curious on how an MMORPG like DDO works. Thanks  smile.gif .

Yea .. DDO does have a monthly subsription fee. It will cost around RM40 per month .. much cheaper then WOW laugh.gif . Anyway, the method of payment always has been using credit card, so far .. Turbine has not announce any other method of payment yet, I know most of u guys prefer timecard .. hopefully that payment method will be available soon.

Most MMORPG, once u have the game, u will be able to play it right away and if there's a patch, then u will have to patch it 1st and thn play it. Hopefully there is a free 1st month which u dun have to pay. Not sure about that yet.
