QUOTE(unequalteck @ Aug 5 2012, 01:50 PM) Restoring from Nandroid, everything will be there. At least I didn't found anything missing. It restores your phone to the state when you made the backup. Of course, user data excluded. I mean those media files, songs etc. |

To be save, backup first. Then try dirty flash. If it works, you're in luck. It it doesn't, only do full wipe. But I suggest you to do Titanium Backup as well. Else it'll be a mess to restore everything. You can't restore just apps from nandroid. |

QUOTE(unequalteck @ Aug 5 2012, 02:11 PM) not really understand about the dirty flash, already did the titanium backup Yes. Correct. But I'm using Team EOS 0802 GAPPS instead. And I flash AOKP, not XenonHD XenonHD-08-05-12-signed-maguro gapps-4.1.1-Kejar31-20120715 Wipe Cache, Wipe Dalvik (advanced menu) -->Flash ROM-->Flash GAPPS. Basically when you do a full wipe, you lose all the applications. Dirty flash basically means flashing without a full wipe. No need to restore apps/reinstall apps. Less mess. Just make a backup, wipe cache wipe dalvik (no factory reset/full wipe) then flash it over old rom. Maybe 1 in 10 times will give problem. Yet save lot of time as there's no need for restoring apps. |
