Fiddling around with AOKP since Friday night after 12am(Saturday)

First flash AOKP 0801 --> Wipe Cache(Forgot to wipe ) --> Flash AOKP 0801 again --> Flash Gapps --> Flash Kernel
Calendar wont work..
Then flash another gapps --> Reboot -->flash another version of gapps --> Reboot
All won't work
Flash back to Bigxie --> Still not working
Gave up
Nandroid back to Bigxie 4.1.1. This time, flash again with correct steps and Team EOS 0802 gapps
Wipe Cache/Wipe Dalvik (it appears that I forgot to wipe dalvik under advanced menu for first time) --> Flash AOKP 0801 --> Flash Gappps --> Flash Kernel
Finally working...

THEN...
Ytd night AOKP released another build
Flash flash flash again.



BTW... Something to clarify.
TO flash kernel after ROM, do I need to reboot the phone first before flashing kernel? Or just directly ROM GAPPS KERNEL

directly, no nid to restart, flash all in one go in CWM

but of coz u can flash ur kernel anytime u wan

Nav bar option in AOKP ROM Control is quite fun.
Now my 'Recent' button doubles as Power. Awesomeeeeee

why gapps-jb-20120726-signed size only 86.51mb, but gapps-4.1.1-Kejar31-20120715.zip 107mb, any addons in kejar package?

you'll get some extra apps in kejar not in other releases, e.g. currents, books and movies, gmaps got world wide navigation unlocked
that's about it, nothing special

i think there's a few team that have gapps releases that fixes stuff like picasa not syncing and stuff, have to ask other jelly bean users for this matter.

Yes, sure got add on. not really compare both 1 by 1 but roughly is add current, books, magazine, wallet & play movie.

Nav bar still there. But set in AOKP make it 100% Transparent. No burn in issue

Clock in the middle + Day + AM/PM
Battery bar at bottom. Quite nice.

confirmed maps included in kejar is unlocked version? then next flash I no need change the maps manually anymore.

no, i have been using kejar gaap for all my JB roms

Larger file size means more Gapp apk are includes, so will sure be better in general

i already made nandroid backup, if i flashed to custom rom and i don like it, can i just use nandroid restore back everything?

of coz u can, that is why u make a nandroid b4 flashing

everything's there? or some data will gone?

if u dirty flash then nth is missing, but problem might occur if u did that, but so far i nvr had any problem with dirty flash,

if u wipe factory reset in CWM, u will loss all ur apps and settings

How is dirty flash? Wanna try xenonHD, this one included gapps already right?
