QUOTE(udangstar @ Jan 27 2006, 01:12 PM) Now it becomes racist OK OK...let's get back to the topic. The pics sorta blur'ed but from the look of things, seems like an excellant paint job. Cheesecake, By the way, if ur cpu usage 100% all the time, something must be wrong with either the OS or one of the component. I think that's why it's overheating..100% all the time. I suggest you check it up with the shops (though I dunno how ur gonna do that with the paintjob) |

Thanks for all the reply ....
anyway.. i'm using acrylic lacquer spray paint with i got from a local hardware store... i think the brand is TOA made from thailaind.... 2 coats of primer, 4 coats of paint , 4 coats of clear lacquer (which makes it really shines and the mirror effect).. wet sanding in between coats with 800 grit paper and 1000 grit sand paper for the clear coat. when choosing a spray paint just look for the ones with lacquer substance , it will shine for sure. and the wet sanding it to remove the imperfectness from the previous coat... do it until you are satisfying... well.. its not that good because i kinda screw it,.. because i was lack of patience, it took me 5 days to complete the paintjob so 5 days couldn't go online.. so i didnt wait the last coat to get completely ready( usually takes a day) so i got scratches when assembling and also... dust started sticking on the paint.. when the laptop was warm.. so one week later.... here are the pictures... |

anyway... no worries because all these can be fixed... i can just resand it until its completely smooth and re apply the clear coat... and this time wait till the next day.. before reassembling the laptop. That is of course, maybe after CNY hehehe.. happy new year to all by the way i got all these guide from the web.. and i found this most uselful http://spiike.shadowdragon.net/laptop%20painting.htm it took me around one week to dig up all the info about painting, and also riping my laptop with out damaging it... i skip the last part with the rubbing compound and wax because the paint was already really shining. well... i'm a gurl? so..? to get a good paint job.. you just need to be really patient... i mean realllyyyy ... |
